you can buy an adapter and they will still work
also, on the gm's with buses, you have to buy a radio relocation kit or a new device to make it work.
the wiring harness is a paina nd a lot of labor for stereo shops to do, they advised me not to mess with the factory stuff on my 2003 montre carlo ss pace car.
we see someone already has been busy changing his out and boy does it look great!
i ordered all the stuff to put my system in in late aug. or early sept. 2004
