Sorry man, just don't like bein told I'm "overdramatizing" a problem just b/c I offered the dude a reasonable alternative. Though that's what this board was for?

lol. TD - my bad - but I think that

I think an aftermarket spray-in liner is a better idea - I've heard about probs w/the Nissan one
is pretty close.

I personally think it is great that Nissan is offering a factory bedliner and love mine so far - particularily the utilitrack. What would an aftermarket utilitrack and spray in bedliner run someone? What are the warranties like? Who wants to deal with all that crap? Not me.

However, that being said, I think it is a bit irresponsible to say that there have been problems (to support someones/your idea of going aftermarket) but not mention the fact that they have been resolved.

I'm not sure what the aftermarket utilitrack and bedliner would cost. It's my understanding that -pru- just wanted a spray-in bedliner. In that case, savin $900 off of the Nissan utility bed package and payin $300-400 for a rhino liner would be a good deal. I don't think I was irresponsible at all - I just said that some people (not a lot, not many, but SOME) have had problems, and there are other, cheaper options out there. Funny how you picked out that fraction of a sentence, and call the whole post an overdramatization and irresponsible. Seems to me doin somethin like that is an overdramatization and irresponsible. And so what, I can't have an opinion now about aftermarket bedliners? Geez man, calm down.

Maybe so, but I think people should know the facts:

1) SOME probems
2) Nissan corrected
3) As far as we know now - NO problems (the part that was left out by yourself and others). Try to be complete and then I won't feel the need to chime in.

Also, until u have the utilitrack, you won't know what you're missing - I try to point in the right direction for full enjoyment of the product.

The Titan rocks TrojanDan - quit worrying so much and go buy yours already!!!

I'm tired of this pissin match with you. I'm not worried about anything, I was just offerin the guy suggestions. I'm sorry if that offended you, and I'm sorry if I didn't write a report covering every relavant fact about what I said. Don't come outta the gates rippin on me. BTW - obviously, if I had the cash, I'd be drivin my Titan home from work later tonight. That's just gonna have to wait for another few months.

Nice pic.

ok ok no more pissing between you and I - don't want to offend either. I know you've fallen in love with the Titan (because I have also) and I will be happy for you when you get one.

Sorry for hijacking your thread -PRU-

I also had a tough time choosing my options since so many are bundled together. My biggest problem was that I liked the LE's, but I didn't want the bucket seats. I also would have considered a sunroof, but it's only on LE's, and you had to get side airbags, and I think even the navigation. That's one expensive sunroof! I figured it would be cheaper to buy a used Miata instead.

The good thing is that most of the options are a very good value, as you get a lot of stuff in the package. The big tow is a great deal. I'm also very happy I got the utility bed. It's so well thought out and useful, and it really sets the truck apart from the others. All of my truck owning friends were amazed at the cleaverness of the system.

As for ordering the truck, I guess it depends where you live. Have quite a few Nisssan dealers within a 100 miles. For me, it was easier to search dealer inventories in the Nissan site for the exact truck I wanted, and go from there. I was able to find four matches. If you can'r find what you want, then order it. I do agree that one of the benefits to buying new is that you should get exactly what you want.

I hear ya there...

I too would like the sunroof, but I only want the SE, and clearly don't need all the LE bells and whistles, let alone the nav and side airbags.

Yeah dude, I like most of the Titans I see on the board. But w/yours, I like the color combined w/the tow mirrors, no tube rails or running boards, bigger tires, window tint, no aftermarket grille and the background is nice too.
