Titan Wins By A Truck Length!!!!!!!

Titanized-1, Hemi-0...That's right!!!

On my way home, some punk actually turned his "Eliminator" Hemi around (He had that installed backwards across his front windshield so you can read it in your rearview mirror). He had a 2wd, Reg. Cab, Short bed, with 20 in rims. It was not a race from dead stop side by side. As we turned off the side street, I got in the far lane, and heard him peel out and saw him coming up fast, so I punch it (already doing about 25-30 mph) He gets to my back door (Crew Cab), and I thought this is it, I am done, but once we reached 50-55 mph I start pulling away and never turned back. At 100 mph there was a good truck length between us maybe more. SO I just let off and started breaking. The next light turned red. He said that "Damn, that Titan's fast". I just said, "And this is a Crew Cab. He just turned his head, and I could hear his girlfriend/wife ragging on him because his almighty Hemi got a beat down. So the SE CREW CAB 4x4 w/OUT the Tow and Off Road, may not be as fast off the line, but it will damn sure make it up after first gear. I can't stop smiling. The Titan is one fast machine...

In most cases I would not have raced, but when he turned around, and started tailgating, backing off, tailgating, backing off, he was just pushing the right buttons. So when we turned I thought I would see first hand what the Titan could do. Needless to say, it is faster...and I am not regretting the race.

I think the 20-inch rims are a fatal flaw as they are heavy and raise the effective gear ratio. (not that he would have had a chance anyway)

While I was having my windows tinted a few weeks ago I was reading an article in Sport Truck (I think that was the name of the mag), anyhow they had a hemi regular cab, 3.92 diff, 20" wheels, supposedly the quickest one out there...........It ran 0-60 in a screaming............8.0 seconds. I just chuckled to myself and thought man, this is supposed to be their fastest one and all it can do is 8.0!!!!

All of you are preying on this poor Hemi driver. The fact is he is much more intelligent than we give him credit for. Clearly, he knew he would get stomped so he had the presence of mind to write on his windshield what kind of truck he was driving. That way, titanized did not have to think about what it was. You see if he had written it on his bumber (like a Titan driver must do in the event of a race) then titanized would never have been able to bring this story back to the forum. So, when you think about it, not only was the Hemi dude very wise, he was also very kind. Thank you Mr. Hemi...thank you from all us here at Titantalk.

Way to go dude, that's a nice kill.
In my wildest dreams, I had never dreamt that I would someday own a truck, let alone the fastest truck out there(not including the SRT-10).

I still believe that Dodge's transmission is not up to task to be able to handle the Hemi's power(it's not the engine-it's the drivetrain/tranny).

Have we figured out if the Silverado SS or Sierra C3 is faster??

Of course, we know the F-150 Lightning and Dodge SRT-10 are faster, but they are very expensive and bred as sport trucks, not really meant to tow 9500 lbs.

Depending on whose publication you read, they just about tie the Titan.
Personally, I've yet to see an SS or C3. So until one of us races one in real world situation, we'll never know..

hey mr. best, you are wrong about your statement on 20'' wheels. first of , all 20'' wheels aren't extra heavy, some weight only a little more than the factorys, secondly, 20''s do not change the gear ratio, if you go with the correct step up in size, you will have the same size wheel as factory. third and last, i have 20''s on mine(20x8.5)(275/55). i can guarantee you this, my truck will ride better on the road, it's greatly more stable in every situation, bar non. do your research.
