"Mr. Clean Auto Dry"

Okay, the deal is I live in Houston where it gets firey hot. Anytime I wash my vehicles, I cannot dry them quicker than the sun essentially bakes the hard water onto my truck. I don't mind drying it, I simply can't do it fast enough. Therefore, over the weekend I decided to try the "Mr. Clean Auto Dry" system on my girlfriend's '02 Altima. The result...WOW!!! I can truly say that after having used this product, I will never dry a car again. This stuff is truly amazing. It really does dry completely spot free. I never would have believed it either because this weekend was exceptionally hot for this time of year and the sun was beaming down hard. I recommend this product to anyone who washes their own vehicle. You wont be dissappointed.

I second that...or third! Just be sure to change the filter and use the Mr. Clean soap. I tried using a different soap (Zymol car wash) last time and the results were HORIBLE Had to wash it again with the Mr Clean soap this weekend, and it was nearly perfect!

Where do you get one of those units? I saw Stacey David talkin about it on "Trucks!" this weekend, but when I went to the Mr. Clean website, I couldn't find it anywhere.

$20 is for the starter hose-end thing? How much is it for the extra soap after that?

or

$20/kit = how many washes?

Sorry, I wish I could answer that but I have not bought any yet. The initial soap and filter should go for about 3 washings. I think the filter replacements are supposed to do around 12 washes. I don't know how many washes a refill bottle of soap will do and I don't know the price of either one.

I was only able to get 2 washes from the original filter. It does a great job but the replacement filter and soap is around $5 at Walmart so I will only use it when I plan on waxing the monster to save some time. Walmart currently is selling the starter kit for around $18.50

Starter kit = ~3 washes
Refills of soap & a Filter = ~10 washes
Soap = $4.99 & Filter = $5.99 (@Target)

Amazingly I ran out of soap at the same time I needed to replace the filter I think it was 8-10 washes. Works out to be about $11.00 (for the refills) or $1.10 - $1.35 per wash. Not bad at all in my book!

Yep - my starter stuff lasted about 2 washes and rinses.

So far I love it though - really works great.

I do get some spots below the mirrors, but thats about it. Seems like the mirror housing hold about 1 gallon of water. I ususally get those spots with some quick detailer. If you rinse thouroughly like you said you should be okay. Where are you getting spots?
