well ive been a member of this forum for a while and other various forums before this one and ive gotta get something off my chest.

i think that if somebody is having a problem/question (oil change ?, engine noises, etc...) then the first thing that should be done is a search. dont just blindly post a question w/o searching first.

we have enough members now to have a GREAT knowledge base and i hate to see it be wasted w/ the same ? over and over when most, i repeat most, have already been answered.

now i know some of you will say "whats the big deal?" well, honestly its not a HUGE deal its just frustrating to see the same old ? asked all the time and have to sift through repetitive posts to get to the "good stuff"

I concur. This is why I usually answer these common questions and end it with "the search is your friend" or "use the search." Maybe I should just start saying "use the search or I break your knee caps."

I don't think anyone would be too worried about that bro, LOL!!!! I think it is kind of a big deal though, b/c eventually this board will run outta bandwidth. Might as well fill it up w/new stuff rather than answers to the same questions.

my points exactly. just thinkin of the future.

now before this turns into one of THOSE posts where everybody chimes in and it becomes a monster of its own; i suggest that this become a READ ONLY post to just hopefully make everybody more aware of some of the forums great utilities, like search for example.
