They have new brakes in stock? I've been waiting over 2 weeks for new rotors and pads. Which dealer is this, Douglass?

New brakes?

Did they actually give you new brakes (caliper, pads & rotors?) On all 4 wheels? Or did they give you new pads and MACHINE the rotors.

I had mine in,m they only gave me new 'updated' pads and MACHINED my rotors, the front only. This I'm not too happy about, as they've effectively shortened the life of my rotors. But thats 'policy', apparently.

I'm curious to see if if others have actually got replacements...

I have been asking everyone I see with this problem that if they get "updated" pads if they could look at the part number on their invoice and post the part number of the "updated" pads so that when other's need to have their's change or buy pads if they want to do it themselves we can make sure we get the"updated" pads. Do you have a part number? - Thanks

yah i got all new pads and rotors. here is what my statement says:

Warped Excessive Runout After Indexing Rotors Lowest Point
Exceeds Limit
Replaced Pads And Rotors

Part # 40206-7S000 Rotor-Disc Brake
Part # 41060-7S026 Pad Kit- Disc

hope this helps with those looking for the part numbers

Very big problem on the hemi's. I been waiting over a month for new pads, calipers too be shipped in. They have the rotors, but told me they wont fix until replacement parts are in. Everything is back ordered because of the amount they have too fix. Only my fronts are bad. I hope its a fix. If its not i may go aftermarket. Mixed results on sure fix over at DTW so not for sure for us guys. I hope yours is a permanent fix. The trucks are just to/too heavy for the size of rotors i guess. Do you like how i did the to/too this time? I covered it didnt i? LOL

Thanks Titan21. Hope your rotors last at least as long as it normally should. Been doing some research on warped rotors and in a nutshell it is a common problem with many vehicles. However not at the mileage various Titan's are experiencing. I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ rotors going about every 12K -15K and I thought that was bad! My first impression of the Titan when I first looked at it was to me it seemed like Nissan could have beefed up the rotors for a truck that size. When you look at for instance a BMW 's rotors would have been nice to have that on a Titan.

So it looks like you got the new pads and rotors for the front only, correct?
The rear pads and rotors would have different part numbers than the front.

Hey, that's not fair. I brought the car in before you did . They are probably waiting for the part to fix the flashing 4LO problem too as I told them I refer to have eveything fixed on the same day.

What I wonder is someone mentioned that the calipers is the problem (don't release?) and it's known by Nissan . I am not sure why they replace the pads and rotors.

Who's your service advisor? I always deal with Patrick.

Caliper replacement is for the Hemi trucks. Sorry i never mentioned my post was for a hemi truck. In the hemi's the calipers, and pads are replaced. I think our problem is way worse then the titans.

BubmanHemi,

I thought I read somewhere on this forum that someone'd got an explanation from a Nissan rep that the problem was caused by the calipers not releasing properly. Something about the 2 pins....I could be confused though.

Not for sure on that one. I know calipers are a problem for Hemi owners. If no replys come of this. I would suggest posting a new topic on that, or find the post it came from. Not for sure on titan, but calipers are definantly a issue on Hemi. Goodluck on your search.
