Just did a search for the ventvisors on the forums and I see they're are 2 different suppliers. I put ventvisors on my 98 Maxima when I bought it in 2000 and they are already peeling off in places. Here is my question: Is there something I can do to assure lifetime placement? I saw a 3M application at a local truck shop and the damn thing felt like it couldnt be pulled off with a tractor. I always use the alcohol rub and clean the area thoroughly. I will probably buy these today and want to make sure I do every single thing right (even though the install is easy) I dont want to have the same problem I do with my Maxima.

Thanks gang!
Get weathertech ones and you don't have to mess around with any tape and they look alot better IMO

Latest from Weathertech: They don't have the rear ones (for crew cab) available yet. They will have them in smoke by July but for dark tint, 3-4 months is the earliest. (ordered mine over a month ago)
Ordered mine yesterday and was told backorder on rear set because they were having problems with them. I had tape on on my last truck with no prolbems but like the look better with in channel. I ordered the lighter tint because of size of a-pilar creates a blind spot in tight cures and didnt want to add to it with dark visor.
3M makes an Adhesion Promotor for their tapes.It's a really sticky solution that comes with a little foam applicator. Only problem is, it seems to be hard to find, at least around here. You can buy more 3M double-sided tape at Wal-Mart to redo the ones on your Maxima.

I agree,,Just ordered mine today,weathertech inserts light tint,,I had the Ventvisors on my 02Silverado..Didn't feel like dealing with that 3M superStrong tape..
I saw an ad from Wade, www.autopartsguy.com from Motortrend last night. They offer both in-channel and tape version of the wind deflector. I called them this morning and they said they should have it for the Titan next week.
If they actually have them by next week, I mayl cancel my order for the Weatherflector. I am tired of waiting...
may I ask what these vent visors do?? they are the things that go on over the windows right?? what does this offer as I see them on a few trucks in town

entilation made easy, rain or shine, while parked or in motion!
Our WeatherFlectorsTM are precision crafted in Germany exclusively for MacNeil Automotive Products by ClimAir®, an OEM approved supplier to nearly 20 of the world's finest vehicle manufacturers. The lightly tinted cast acrylic is nearly twice as thick as the nearest competitor and installs quickly and easily inside your window channel using a precision-machined, micro-thin mounting flange.
Rain or shine, while parked or in motion, you get the best of both worlds with WeatherFlectorsTM! While parked, you can leave the windows open an inch or two to keep the interior cool. While driving with the windows open, you can take advantage of the fresh outside air while minimizing the amount of wind and noise entering your vehicle. On rainy days, you can partially open your window without getting soaked, allowing an added bit of ventilation to remove stale or smoky air. And with the WeatherTech® WeatherFlectorsTM being TUV approved, it is clearly your finest choice.
* Maximize your fresh air enjoyment.
* Optically transparent.
* OEM quality.
* Sleek aerodynamic styling.
* Reduces wind noise.
* Installs inside the window channel.
* No unsightly exterior tape.
* Minimizes interior heat when parked.
* Helps keep side windows dry in the rain
I still dont get why these are neccesary--I mean I am up for mods and all and they look cool--but do they REALLY do anything??
To be honest...I think the only people who would benefit from these would be smokers in the rain. This way they can roll down the window a bit and let their smoke out =)
I think they look good and can sometimes add that extra little bit to the style
The only thing they do is to allow you lower the window jsut a little to let some fresh air in without the wind noise. I don't even like the look, but many times the kids eat in the car and I hate the smell.
