This Truck Is Cursed

OK, I posted Friday because I got rear ended. My wife and I are ok, and the truck wasn't that messed up. Plus, my custom exhaust that I was going to get for my bday will now be done for free. That happened 6 days before the first payment was made.

This afternoon, the day of my first payment, it happened again. I work in downtown Savannah, and any of you that have visited City Market and parked in the City Market parking garage know how tight the thing is. Well, when I came back from getting my estimate done, I couldn't get my parking space back so I had to park on the very top. All the other idiots up there were parked in such a way that I had to make a very tight corner going down the ramp. Well I didn't make it. Scratched the crap out of the driver side corner of the front bumper. Scratched the plastic bad. I got the paint cleaned off, and you really have to look for it to see it, but I am really depressed right now....

Sh*t happens, sorry buddy. Not knowing exactly how bad the damages, I can't give much advice. I discovered a deep scratch on the left fender of my truck. I had the contract painter at the local dealship have a look. He quoted me $25 to touch up and buff it out. You can't beat that, your local dealership might be able to make a similar repair.

Hawkeye, don't let it bug you! The first night I had my truck I backed over
a mailbox with it. Broke the taillight, dented the bed around the light.

When I got home my neighbor came over to look at it, and when I closed the
hood I sunk a big dent in the middle of it.

Just imagine how good your truck will look and sound when you get it back!
While you're waiting for it to be fixed, start looking at other accessories for
it to take your mind off the bad stuff. Go out and buy a really expensive can
of wax to look at until you get your baby back.

LOL, when I drove it over to my parents house, my dad backed it out of trhe driveway and came within a gnat's butt of hitting the mailbox across the street. We both are not used to x-cabs. I almost made a stain on my brand new seats. So now every time I back out of that driveway he tells me to watch for the mailbox.

Savannah

I'm going to Savannah for vacation June 19-27. Staying at the beach a few days and then in town a couple days. What a cool town. I lived there for 2 years while my wife was going to grad. school. We go back every couple years for vacation. What part of town do you live in?
I was thinking about driving the Titan down from PA, but was worried about the parking, as you said, everything is tight.

I know how you feel. I was driving down the highway the other day and an eighteen wheeler came by and threw a rock and broke my windshield. His mud flap was half gone. I got an opening to catch up and get the info off the truck and report it to their ins. My wife totalled my fronty a couple months ago and I don't need another claim on my ins. Well I was almost caught up to the truck when I got pulled over for speeding and the cop was a ****. Then two days ago I hit something on the highway and flattened a tire. Dam I am tired of all this bad luck.

Born at Hunter Army Air Field (1955).
Worked really heavy with those guys when I was with A-10s at Myrtle Beach AFB.
Love that town.
