Has anyone ordered from Proficient Performance in the past? And problems with them if so?
I ordered a Volant Air Intake back on April 29th through them and am still awaiting my order. I emailed them a couple weeks ago, they responded and from everything they could find, it appears to be an error in shipping from Volant. Well they were going to just have Volant ship another one, which I thought was pretty cool (just take care of the customer and worry about what happened later) but I'm still empty handed. They sent me an email stating I would have the tracking number within 24 hours, which I didn't and still don't have. I'm going to follow up again today with them and am not trying to start a flame here as so far they have been very responsive, but after a month I'm getting a little impatient.
Would I order from them again, probably not. After not receiving my order, I understand my first follow up, but after not getting the tracking number or the product yet, I would expect them to follow up and just check if it came in yet.
Thanks casique, I have a feeling I'll be following in your footsteps shortly. I've sent the following email and will wait for their response and enough time for them to deliver on the goods, but I'm not as optimistic anymore.

It's been over a week again, I still do not have the tracking number mentioned in the previous note nor more importantly the Volant air intake I ordered over a month ago. I realize these are being shipped directly from the manufacture and you have little control over this process, however I would like a date on when I can expect this product? I have already been billed for my purchase and expect a little more follow though from those companies who have already collected for a product or service. I will give this process another week, if I am still at this level of satisfaction, I will be requesting a refund and taking my business elsewhere.
I ordered a volant off ebay from guys called idracing and i sent them a money order, they have had it for at least over a week and they have not shipped it out yet. I emailed them demanding my money back and to forget the product and still have yet to hear from them. If nothing happens in the next couple of days they will get negative feedback.

Do a search on iDracing, if that thread has not been errased or hidden! There were a lot of folks screwed/misstreated by that company. I got my Volant from them after two weeks! They took my money the first day even though they lied and said they had it in stock, but the part came from the manufacturer. Then apparently they threatened the forum because of the bad publicity. I will be honest dont deal with idracing---bad experience this way--even before I was set to pay. I know that volant is havin some serious shipping issues. I know cloud9 has them, which is where I got mine. they also give discounts to titantalk members--just email eddie. before you order CONFIRM that they have them in stock before you pay for it.
Well i can't use paypal. There are that much other options out there. Not to long ago i used them when i was selling stuff and i sold something expensive and i transfered the money into my banking account, then they took it back out and would not give me the money even after i called them. They then said they were going to cancel my account and i had to wait 90 days to get my money. It ended up almost taking a month to finally get it even after the person who won called them and told them he got the item and it was great. Well to make a long story short, if you read paypals TOS, they can hold your money without no reason at all and basically screw you over. Check out www.paypalsucks.com
Interesting. I haven't experienced any problems with them, but I don't link my checking account to them, just credit card. But I suppose that isn't entirely safe either.

I actually met one of the guys from Cloud9 this last Sunday at the RC track. I forget his name at the moment but he was driving a huge lifted white truck. Nice guy and he mentioned Eddie by name for us Titan folks.
