Friday is the day of days....

Thats right folks, I have been a member of this board back when there was only 6 of us registered and not alot was talked about except rumors and fantasies.

Finally this Friday in the afternoon a flatbed will pull up to my office and will unload my baby!!

I want to thank everybody that has answered my questions, made me laugh, and has pointed me in the right direction. I am now looking forward to really participating in some Titan discussions and modifications.

I will post pics as soon as I get them uploaded.

Till Friday

It is here: Where is the pickup checklist? Congrats bro!!! I hope to be in your spot in a few short months! Hope it treats you well!!! Also, in light of the recent coin tray thread, make sure you have one of those (if you're supposed to).

Congratulations Tony!!! I know you're stoked! Get pictures and record the moment when it gets unloaded off of the truck!

I almost pulled the trigger this weekend and bought my Titan....I'm kicking myself. Oh, well, someday........

I think you should add "check differential fluid level" to the check list.

Here's the checklist I've put together:

What should I check when I take delivery of my new Titan?

~~~~~~~~~~
General
~~~~~~~~~~
-- vehicle is equipped as ordered. Demand to see the delivery checklist.
-- Review the PDI checklist, ensure complete
-- Make sure every option paid for is present
-- paperwork is correct - VIN number correct, loan amounts correct,
taxes/title/tags correct
-- Make them show you how to work the controls - Radio, Tow/Haul, VDC, pedals, 4x4 switch, E-locker, etc.
-- fluid levels are up: oil, brake, trans, radiator, rear diff

~~~~~~~~~~
Exterior
~~~~~~~~~~
-- utility bed lockbox - door not creased and lock cover in place
-- inspect the truck for scratches & dings on all sides and roof
-- dings or cracks in the windshield
-- proper tire pressure
-- lug nut torque - 98ft lbs.
-- splash guards and tail gate plastic mounted w/thin tape (tends to come loose, leaving a gap)
-- bed liner separation, blistering, peeling.
-- spare tire present
-- both tailgate cables are tensioned equally when the tailgate is open.
-- on tow mirrors, angle the bottom convex mirrors all the way towards outside

~~~~~~~~~~
Interior
~~~~~~~~~~
-- center console coin tray
-- stains and tears in the seats, carpet & headliner
-- radio won't hold stereo (even with SSV turned off)
-- cracks in plastic around the front anchor screw on the overhead console
-- steering wheel straight with wheels
-- correct color floor mats
-- switch for electric door locks does not "stick" when unlocking
-- lap/shoulder belt for rear center seat - ensure it pulls out without catching

~~~~~~~~~~
Accessories
~~~~~~~~~~
-- wire harness connector for tow package (try the glove box)
-- utility bed cleats
-- manuals & all keys (2 regular + 1 valet)
-- screws to mount the license plate in the front holder.

The original checklist is in the FAQ. Check it out. I will (when I get a moment) look at the above posted list and add any unique entries. I like the organization of the above list into categories. I'll change the FAQ one.

For some reason when I read this topic, Final Countdown by Europe started playing in my head. Is it just me?
