thanks guys, the whole thing is only rated at 1200 watts but it does alittle more. I just wanted something as loud as i had in my maxima which was 3 12's and its just as lound if not louder. Not that i listen to it that loud most of the time but its nice to have when i want it. No i don't do it for a living but have played around with car audio since high school so i've learned a few tricks.

Impressive effort. "Rated only at 1200 watts . . ." You must have titanium eardrums.

Grill question

Have to ask. Where did you get that cool grill? How much was it and did they offer a lower to match? Great install!! Looks better than all the pro installs I've seen.

I made the grill myself from some material laying around in my garage. It's just a sheet about 1/16" thick cut to size. Im not sure if anyone has played with there grill but the black honeycomb seperates from the chrome part and i just pulled the 2 apart and slid the sheet in there. I'm still working on how to get it in the bottom but when i do i'll post some pics.

WOW!!!!!! that is kinda cool to place the deck in the sunglasses holder, how come you only foamed the openings in the doors, and not the whole door?? just asking for my own reference as I am tackling mine this weekend. also where did you get your 6x9 conveter baffles--I used mdf--those look like they were pre made or something??

congrats it looks great, and I am sure it sounds amazing

Wow that look's good !!!!!
I like the deck in the above head console,
do you think a small monitor would fit up there also
and hook into the rear factory dvd?

ok, the speakers are rockford fosgate T1 10's. i didn't have to raise the seat's frame but the front of the seat does sit on the box raising it maybe a half inch although you can't tell by sitting in them. I'm not sure about the foam question because i didn't add any sound dampening and the 6x9 baffels i cut out of aluminum. And im pretty sure a monitor would not fit up there maybe the bigger one after it but the thing i don't like about those is they don't flip down 90 degrees, its more like 75 so you wouldn't get a good viewing angle. hope that answered all the questions.

nice!!!

piopremier,

that is definitely one of the nicest titans i have ever seen ...

I'd like to fabricate the same grill and paint it flat black to accentuate the chrome on my SE while giving my truck a more custom look...how might i find a sheet of metal similar to yours? I don't even know what to call it.

Also, would you please provide more detailed instructions regarding the cutting and installation of your grill (how'd you keep the nissan emblem for example? and could I remove the emblem if I so chose?). Also, perhaps someone in the forum has a good solution for the lower valance...anyone?

Your option could save us all quite a bit of money...the street scene grills which I was pricing were upwards of $100 for each of the two pieces. If all I really need is a sheet of metal, your pattern, and the means to cut it; I stand to save a substantial amount.

Thanks for sharing; and I look forward to your reply,

gero

Grill Material

piopremier,
I'm agree with gero, love that grill. I recognize the material but have not been able to get it from a supplier without purchasing a large 3' X 8' piece. For a piece that large the cost was very high since I'm not buying in bulk (just one ). If you can help us locate a source, that would be most helpful. I have a few ideas about how to shape and mount a lower grill and would be glad to take pictures etc. All I need is the material.
