I got the XM Commander installed in one.

Got my ID badge for work in one.

Kid's sunglasses in one - keep mine on that handy little spot on the dash where the Nav would have been

The compartment furthest forward is handy to keep your registration and what not. It beats reaching over to the glove box in the unlikely event that you need to grab it.

I started a similar thread here:

Storage Bin Uses??

For all those guys towing out there, I installed my prodigy brake controller last weekend with the clamshell bracket (allows controller to be removed when not in use). I realized it fit in one of the overhead bins. So, that's where it is unless I'm towing...

Otherwise, sunglasses, napkins, pen and post-it notes...

Can't keep my sunglasses up there any more for awhile. They will brand/burn my head if I leave them there to long during this time of year in FLA.

Napkins, note pads, reciepts etc. up there now.

Sunglasses in one, reading glasses in another, registration and proof of insurance in one, and a AA two cell mag light in the largest one.
Very handy,
Daryl

Yep, here in GA my titanium Oakleys get hot enough to brand you.

For sure. I have a metal pair and a plastic pair of Oakleys, both in the truck. The metal pair will burn you if left up there in the overhead (says don't in the manual too), and the plastic pair will almost melt it feels like. But hey, theres plenty of room in about 4,000 other places in the truck, so it's all good.

I just went out and bought a lot of pairs of sunglasses and reading glasses. Seriously I keep a pair of sunglasses in the front, reading glasses in one and my boat keys and registration in another.

You must be at that age also, don't need glasses all the time but when you do you can't find a pair. Yeah I've got a pair in just about every room now.

You got it. I turned 49 on Memorial Day. Sort of fitting don't you think?

I probably have a dozen pairs of glasses around, in my garage, in all my tool boxes, in my boat, at work, etc. I bought a bunch at the dollar store.
