dealer installed Banks?

Found a few dealers here in So Cal, selling new titans with the Banks exhaust already installed.(for example: http://www.mossynissan.com/veh.asp?UntId=279781) Has anyone noticed this in there area? Not being mechanically inclined, is it worth it to maybe already buy one with it on or seek out a mechanic to do it. I am interested in the Banks because I have heard it should help out the mpg and the mpg is the only thing right now that is keeping me from getting one of these bad boys. Thoughts?

Performance Nissan in Duarte is also doing this. They are also selling Titans w/lift kits and Billet grilles already installed too. I'm not exactly sure, but I think dealers usually charge a little more than you can get it installed from your local muffler shops. Near me is a good muffler shop that I'm sure will charge less than the dealer just to earn your business. You don't have to be "mechanically inclined" to take your truck to a shop to get it installed. I don't think it will increase your mpg to the point that it would be the deciding factor whether or not to buy the truck, but it may help a little. Just make a few calls this weekend, and see how much people are charging for the Banks system vs. the dealer! Good luck!

Is that what you've put on thusfar, or is this the price of some Titans after the dealer has added a bunch of stuff?

No, thats the price on the linked truck at the top....

Its a nice looking truck though. But why would you do that to a 4x4 truck? The street tires etc....

Sorry, didn't even click on that link! I guess the only thing to say that's appropriate here is "to each his own".

Thanks TrojanDan. I'll make the calls this weekend. By not being mechanically inclinded I 'meant' to say I wouldn't know how to do it myself. Your right though I'm sure it would be cheaper to take it a shop after I bought it, than get it from the dealer. Thanks for the input guys. I din't notice they were switching things around CaliforniaTitan. Good catch. I better pay attention to mine when I go get it this weekend.

beallendall,

What are you shooting for in your truck? they have 204 spread over thier 6 lots but you might search through that whole list to find the 'right' one before driving around for sure. As far as installations..there are more than plenty of places in San Dog to get things done.

If you decide to get one go to the El cajon store and ask for Kevin, I can PM you his last name if you want. Tell him Brian sent you. He'll hook you up.

The wheels on the first one look like standard wheels and not the O-R Pkg wheels...

The second one has the XE grille vice the SE grille.
