tough call, my titan is fine at 4500 miles, i think some of the problems are quality control and quite isolated. i wouldn't wait unless there will be new features for '05, but i have no patience. good luck, either way you will love this truck!

the great majority of people dont and wont have any problems w/ their TITAN (04 or 05). the only reason i would wait would be a power rear window. but to get that youll need the DVD, NAV, sunroof and side airbags. lol. good luck on waiting.

It's already mid June. Personally I would wait until the 05' comes out.

wholesale release is 10/04. That means that they will be ordered at the beginning of September and be hitting the lots late in November.

The problem w/gettin an '05 is that you won't get any rebate or good financing offer, unless you plan on waiting another 9-12 months. You can sure get a great deal on the '04s, but you gonna pay near top dollar for an '05 if you get it now. Choices choices choices, so tough to make the choices!

I dont need a power rear window ..Almost never use the slider in my present truck.. I am planning on getting A KC LE with nav .. I dont like the bundled option packages and im a bit confused ..If I get the nav , do I have to get the big tow ?? I have a 5500 lb boat that only gets towed half a mile each year and id rather have the highway gears for mileage ... NOVEMBER ? I find that hard to believe

Pantera1...I feel your pain! I am in the same boat as you are, but I truelly beleive waiting for a 05' will be worth it. I might get a few extra goodies with an 05' and might have a few more of the "bugs" worked out as do most second year vehicles.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure you do have to get the 2 packages. This "option bundling" has been a problem for many on the forum, and even Kyle, who is a salesman, agrees w/the complaints. As has been discussed, the BT package gears won't hurt your highway mileage all that much, but it really is an inconvenience to pay for something you don't want, just b/c it MUST be coupled w/something you really do want/need.

I'm not sure that Nissan sees this as a "bug" that needs working out, so I would suspect that the MY '05s will have a lot of the same option configurations, but that's JMHO.

The 05s are slated to begin being produced in October, for availability in November or late October.
