I have a 2006 Titan and the a/c will stop blowing cold air after running for 1 to 2 hours. I can turn it off for 30 minutes and it works for another hour or so before it stops blowing cold air again. When this happens, the air is a little cooler on the driver side than it is on the passenger side, which feels like vented air only. Any ideas? Thanks.
Unfortunately, mine will blow plenty of cold air until about April!

AC blows cold air for an hour or so before it changes over to "vent" air. It never stops blowing air, it just stops blowing cold air. If I turn it off for 20 to 30 minutes, it will begin blowing cold air again as if it is freezing up, then thawing out.
Not sure how the compressor is driven on the VK56, but on my vintage car, I cured the same problem with a new belt.
The old one was tight enough, but it was old and couldn't hold traction on the pulley.
Old car works great now.

You know you had a great night last night when you make it home the next day missing at least half your clothes.
It's not the zombies you have to watch out for. It's the stupid people.
Sounds like the expansion valve is freezing up.
Has the system ever been apart?
wallee... robkar??? mine takes around 15 minutes for cold air to start blowing thru... then as i'm finally treated to freezer type coldness it'll stop blowing cold air after 15 to 20 minutes. then the cycle starts all over again. sometimes cold air will blow for long periods then sometimes it'll blow ambient temperature for extended periods. so frustrating as i've already blown 500 bucks to have the dealer tell me the ipdm was shorting and causing the a/c to work intermittently. well, suprise suprise... brand new ipdm and the ac worked when i left but then the next day the ac started its act up again. so, i looked and looked tonight and now i'm reading "expansion valve" might this actually be the freeeakin' culprit to all my problems???? I HOPE SO!!!! i LOVE my AC!!!! i just want the damn thing to work properly!
Especially with the rising heat!!!! Mine takes around 10 min as well before it gets cold once i get in the truck, but it will stay cold for as long as i want
I just roll down the windows

I took mine in to a a local shop, the guys is a friend and does other work for me ... He checked the system and said there was to much pressure and he had to replace the coolant or add some extra ... it was 2 years ago and the thing works great now!!
What was happening was it was taking a long time to cool. Then it would freeze my nuts off ... Now, it just freezes my nuts off....

LMFAO!!!
well i want my nuts frozen off as soon as i turn the damn thing on. not wait 15-20 minutes while its blowing air the same temp as it is outside (usually warm air) then it'll get cold... then it goes ambient temp again... pisses me off. where's your friend's shop?
