OK to ask dealer check diff fluid before delivery?
I am about to purchase a new Titan here in the next couple of weeks and have been following some of the issues here on the board. Would the dealer check/change the diff fluid prior to me taking delivery if I requested? What about looking at the rotors as well? I guess it wouldn't ever hurt to ask, but at the same time, I don't want to be dealing with them any longer than I have to. As far the RF radio issues, is there any word on when Nissan expects to conclude the prototype testing and offer a solution to the static issues? Thanks guys!

Even if they agree to check it I would re-check it when I brought it home.
Cosidering the problems we have been having with the diffs. being filled to much less than cap. I would consider it an absolute necessity to have the dealer check the fluid levels. In addition I would insist on observing them doing it just to make sure.

they local dealer told me, when I took mine in to have it filled, that checking the diffential is part of the inspection the dealership does when it gets the truck unloaded. Evidentially some dealerships are failing to do their job

Slider,
Asking is not what you do. Tell them, and as stated here watch them do it. Your the customer. If they really want to sell a truck then they will not mind. If they do mind I'd take my business elsewhere. Take the truck for an extended test drive somewhere that you can spend some unpressured time looking things over for scratches, poor fitup, broken/not working etc... Drive it and make notes of rattles, squeaks and what not. Anything you find and is listed on the "Due Bill" is far easier to get fixed quickly. Later, the dealership can question some of these as things you done. Good Luck and Enjoy the experience. Don't let the sales process be a drag. When your spending this much you should at least have some fun doing it. Post some PICs when you get it!

Thanks for the info guys. It took a lot of convincing, but I finally wore down my wife (kinda of like I have been doing since high school!) and now I get what I want. WHOOHOO! But now I don't get anything for my first father's day, my 30th birthday, or christmas, but who cares right?!?! I am really pretty psyched about this, can't wait. Sometime next week hopefully. I have got some dealers competing, so am just waiting on the right price. Is there anything else that any of you would reccomend before I take delivery? I will definatly post pics once I get it and quit driving it (for a moment or two at least). Anybody interested in a '99 chevy blazer ZR2? Goodbye chevy, hello Nissan!!
