What to check when shopping

My local dealer is doing $1K under invoice. I may take the plunge soon. What issues should I watch for?

I heard about the brakes, bedliner, paint, and rear diff. Is there a production date after a certain date that you don't have to worry about any of these problems?

What else should I visibily check for when shopping/test driving a Titan?

edit: oh, and how well does that huge chrome bumper stand up? Is it prone to chipping easily?

Pax airbag sensor operation, if an extended cab rear door action (two I have looked at the doors drop 1/2" when opening and would not close without lifting).
