titan plays high five with GMC, GMC loses hand

As I was sitting in traffic today three guys in a new Sierra decided to knock there mirror into mine. Scared the **** out of me as I did not see it coming. Cop said no way to tell which one was over line, even though I was not even moving! Oh well. Here is some pictures. The GMCs whole mirror fell off and was laying in the road. I have to order a whole new mirror as that is all you can get as well as the trim piece. Both pieces will run about $200 after taxes, 133 for the mirror and 50 for the trim. I hate not having a mirror and no dealer around here had part so I ordered from the one near my work and hopefully it will be here on saturday. Also, there are some knicks in the glass but I guess I will just have to live with them. The last picture shows the worst part, I have to tow the boat with my other truck now on my two days off........boo hoo.

Quite possible. They were so fixated on my truck they forgot to stay in their lane. It could have been worse of course, they could have done paint damage. I am less upset about having to spend the money than I am possibly having to wait until monday to get the part. BTW, does anyone know how the black trim under the window comes off? There is a screw at the back of the door, but that is the only attachment i can see.

Well sure there is - if your has the mirror portion damaged, then it was obviously the other drivers fault (unless you were going in reverse). Too bad his didn't stay on the truck, because it would ahve been the front of his that took the most damage. I personally would ask your insurance agent to pursue claim against the other drivers agency.

I got my mirror in the mail today but apparently the trim strip that goes under the window is on back order. Being as smart as I am, I pulled off my old one and bent it because it was weak where it was dented in anticipation of my guaranteed parts delivery. (ok, so I was bored and figured I would get started). Anyhow, how can I get this belt strip so that my truck can get wet again? In the meantime I guess I just cant drive it.
