Any S.A. Titans wanna race?

Hey guys! My name is David and I am a member of Dodge Truck World. I love my Dakota but I've gotta give the Titan props. It's a BAD A** truck if you ask me.

Anyhoo, I've heard a lot of talk on DTW about the Titans beating the HEMI's. It's all good to me. If you're faster, you're faster. From the times I've seen the Titans running, the ones being posted anyway, I think it'd be a good race between me an ya'll. Plus a few of my S.A. HEMI buds might wanna piece of ya!

I'm not getting into the HEMI/TITAN bashing thing. I could care less what you drive. If you're faster than the HEMI then you deserve respect. That's saying even more about your truck. I like 'em, I wanna test drive one to see for myself.

I've got a Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with the 4.7L V8. My best time at the track is a 15.8@84.45 mph. So far I've put on an Airaid CAI, Magnaflow dual exhaust, TB spacer, pulled the TCM wire, and slapped some spring clamps on the rear leaf springs. I'm fixin' to put on the MOPAR HO cams/intake manifold kit.

If any of ya'll are down then let me know. I'll be back on here to let ya'll know dates and stuff like that. Or you can come over to DTW and post up there too. Hope to see some of ya'll out there!

Hey David ole boy, can you wait till deer season opens up? that way I'll put a couple of dead deer and all my hunting and camping gear in the truck, that way I'll be totally stock and all.
How about if I just hook up my 22 ft. camping trailer and put my Polaris 500 four wheeler in the back just to make it fair?
Naa, on second thought I think I'll pass, if I wanted to drag race I'd be driving somthing other than a pickup truck.
But hey thanks for asking!!!!

Maybe I should have specified. No wait a minute, I did. I ASKED IF ANYONE WANTED TO RACE!!!! If you don't then you don't have to. There are those that would.

Racing

Hey David, How old are you? Just wondering what maturity level you are at to actually come over to a Nissan Titan Forum and post silly messages about racing your truck. So what if your truck is faster than a Titan - So what if your truck is faster than a Lamborgini - who gives a crap. In your mind does that make you a better person if you are in a faster vehicle. Maybe you should contact Dr. Phil for this problem you seem have. You seem to suffer from what is known as "must put down other trucks to feel better about myself and my truck" As Dr. Phil will tell you (and he will be calling you on Monday) "You must help the things that need helping before you can help yourself" So please, before you post another message on this board and after you talk to Dr. Phil, help yourself by keeping that hole in your head closed.

OK, no personal attacks, remember?

The original post was respectful enough to me. There was no call out IMHO. We are all truck enthusiasts and if we can keep it at that level, we'll be fine.

I see no reason to insult another, whether it be their choice of ride or otherwise.

Let's take the high road, we've got a truck with enough torque to take on any hill!

Maturity level? WTF? And where out of that did you get that I was putting down the Titan? Did you even read all of my post? I just re-read it and saw nothing but props for the Titan. I know my truck ain't the fastest out there. I never said it was. I also said that I want a Titan. Must mean I like it. You know what, if you go over to DTW and search for Nissan Titan threads you'll see me pop up on almost every one of them sayin that the Titan is the only contender, if not better than the HEMI. I'm not the one you need to be telling stuff like that MadCow.

I may be faster, I may not be. That's not the point. I was curious to see if any of ya'll wanted to go hang out and drag race. Simple as that. Not knockin' your truck, braggin' cuz I'm faster(which may not be true), or tryin' to start anything.

I'm over here cuz I'm a fan of vehicles. I'm a horsepower junkie more or less. I love everything from old school muscle cars (Charger, Camaro, Firebird, GTO) to new trucks like the Titan and mine. Even some of those little rice-burners that I dislike so much. A fast vehicle is a fast vehicle, and if you beat then I'll be the first one to shake your hand and say that's a bad *** truck you got there.

If the fact that I'm 20 makes a difference in your opinions of me then I'm sorry, but I'm just trying to make a peaceful conversation. Like I said, I'm not bashing the Titan cuz honestly, it's one of the next two trucks I'd buy.

So once again, my question remains unanswered. Are there any of you guys that drive your trucks fast, that would like to come join my friends and I at the drag strip one Friday night in San Antonio?

Hey Titan21, when I'm out in California with the Marines, I'm coming down there on a weekend off. It'll be next year but I'd like to hang out with you and the Cali DTW guys at the track.

My bad silver bullet - I was thinking you were the dude from the DTW site that has posted all the stuff knocking the Titan and was just trying to make him think about his goofy posts. I apologize for getting you guys mixed up - too much beer and pizza when I posted that.

Ok, well even if ya'll aren't in San Antonio and can drive down. I'm going to be at San Antonio Raceway this Friday night, the 9th. I'll be there at about 6PM when they open the gates. I'm gonna be testing out my new HO intake manifold and cams.

Hey, a modded Dakota is actually pretty fast, I used to own one before the little "issues" I had with it (I've told the story before and its a long one). Silver, since you got a lot of the mechanicals on there, go for the JetChips Stage II Power Module. I had one of those and it torqued the heck out of my Dakota on the low-end especially with the other mods.

Just to say it though, I'm not sure if the Dakota is still faster than a stock Titan and amongst those willing to race I don't think there are many that are stock. Good luck to you though and I would love to see a video clip if you get a contender! Post some pics of your Dakota too, I still have a little place in my heart for my ol' Dakota and would love to reminisce!
