Hey All,
I've been searching for an LE with airbags. The dealer I have been working with is telling me that of the 150+ he claims to have searched in the NE inventory, every single one has either the DVD or the Navigation system, or both.
I find this hard to believe. Is he just trying to sell me a truck off the lot? I can build an LE on the nissanusa.com website with just the Airbags and Big tow package so it seems odd that there are none in inventory anywhere...
I am going to try a couple of other dealers to see what I can find.

Hey Bill, Ask your dealer about vehicles that are less than 30 days out. He might be able to find you one that way. I looked at inventories online in every state surrounding Utah, and several others. I couldn't find what I wanted. The dealer tried to sell me a vehicle from his inventory, but I wouldn't settle for something other than what I wanted. They located two that were available in approx 30 days, and one in Southern Utah that had just arrived. That is the one that I got.
You may find it difficult to locate an LE without it being loaded. I think that most of the dealers order them that way.
If you try the [http://www.nissanusa.com] site, you can build what you like, and then search inventories. If you scroll down the search page, you will find that you can search within a radius around any zip code. I went to [http://www.usps.com] to find zip codes for surrounding cities. Be aware that all of the inventory does not appear, and some of them may already be sold. Good luck with your search.
Dave
PS I don't understand why dealers order the way that they do. They seem to take the easy way out, and order a popular package, and offer little variety. I think that more people would buy if they had more choices.
I had a HARD time getting mine. They like to load the LE. I did NOT want the DVD, NAV, side bags or sunroof. And I wanted silver. Had to settle for Red Brawn (my #2 color choice) after waiting 3 weeks.
It was cheaper to get the "stripped" LE than a loaded SE. On the SE, tube steps, utility bed, Big Tow, RF, etc, etc. are adds but standard on the LE. And I wanted leather, and they were going to charge me $1000 to add leather to the SE by a local shop they use.
He is telling the truth, but he should read the Titan brochure. The Side Curtain Airbag pk requires you also get either the Offroad pk,or the Nav pk on a KC LE.On the CC LE you have to get either the offroad pk,or the power sunroof pk(the power sunroof pk requires you also get the Mobile theatre pk-the DVD).
The SE AB pk is even worse-it requires BT,OFFRD,UB,PP.I wanted a SE with Curtain airbags, but after tumbling to the bundling, I ended up with an XE,but they are strippers with very few options.
The LE with required pk will be about $1300-$2500 more than the SE with required pk depending on whether you "want" Offroad,or SR,Mobile Theatre.Luck,Charlie
"The Side Curtain Airbag pk requires you also get either the Offroad pk,or the Nav pk on a KC LE."
The printed brochure says this but Nissan's web page does not. I have a KC LE with side airbags without offroad or navigation. I had to wait a few weeks for the dealer to find one, but it wasn't too hard.
Thanks for the info. I know the truck I want is out there somewhere. I could build a Crewcab LE with just the Airbag option on the Nissanusa.com website.
Originally I was looking at the SE, but like you all mentioned, you end up with a totally loaded truck due to the options requiring other options. There is less than a $2k difference between a loaded SE and the LE, so I decided to step up and look at the LE.
So, do you really have to order the DVD or NAV with the side airbag package?
