Titan Vs......................

I know theres big hipe about which is faster between the hemi dodge and the titan. I have one for you. I know this is comparing apples to oranges, but what about the titan vs. the 04 jeep overland with the HO 4.7L? My dad just picked one up and let me tell you, you can SMOKE all 4 tires on DRY roads! It also has tons of get up and go. I may be wrong on the specs. but I think it's rated at 325 HP and 295 lbs of torque. I was just cerious, has anyone came along the side of this truck, and what was the outcome if there was a race? My dad sais it's faster than the titan. I told him no way, now I'm starting to worry that He will be faster than me when I get mine. Any info would help.

Oh, so is the regular 4.7 235 HP? I couldhave sworn it was 325. Anyway, has anyone run with one?

No but I wouldn't be suprised if it weights much less than at Titan. I would say the only way to find out is to race him (and install nos just in case).

Talking

Jeep Overland wins out on price alone, otherwise it's Titan all the way...

The HO 4.7 in the Jeep Overland is rated at 265hp 335tq. I think the lightest variant of the Titan would have a chance, but those jeeps are quick. The old Cherokee with the 5.9 did 0-60 in 6.9sec, and I believe the overland with the HO 4.7 is about the same. If he has the regular 4.7, I think the Titan would probably take him for sure.

The jeep is lighter than the Titan. That will give it an advantage. That does make it pretty quick. Our Titans are pretty quick. But, there are a lot of vehicles that weigh less and are faster than we are. It seems that most Titan owners are very realistic about what a Titan does and is. Not like the Dodge guys that have to make some excuse for each time a Dodge loses. It always seems like it's either a weight thing or a gear thing or a wheel thing or a computer thing or a transmission thing or something else. These things are trucks and not Vipers. They will get beat too. We just need to appreciate them for what they are fast trucks.
