First loaded trip

Went camping this past weekend. Loaded in 1 dirt bike, 3 bicycles (using utilitrac yakima mount discussed in parts & accessories) & a mountain of camping gear. Looked like the Beverly Hillbillys. Good thing I had bought the sliding bed extender, it was extended as far as it would go. The ride on the highway was very comfortable; not to soft, not to stiff. Got some nice compliments from a Tundra and GMC owners. The Titan ran great and is the perfect rig for the weekend warrior.

Just got back from my 2nd fishing/camping trip of the year. First trip had 5 guys, bed full of gear, and pulling about 4500 lb tandem axel trailer. Got 13-14 mpg at 60-65 mph, and always had plenty of power.

This last trip was with my wife, 8 year old daughter and 4 year old son, all the camping stuff and a canoe straped to the roof! I was a little worried about the canoe on the roof with the flimsy sheet metal, but it really worked very well.

The sheet metal did "depress" once we snugged the canoe down, but it always comes back into shape and does not dent. However, most of the pressure is on the back top edge of the cab, just forward of the 3rd tail-light. Seriously looking for a good canoe rack though. Any ideas anyone? My canoe is a 17' Grumman.

Nissan has one that keeps the canoe over the bed I believe. 2 parts that slide on the utilitrac slots. Almost looks like two roll bars. A member here has one in his signature pic. Check the accessory section of the Nissan site.
