Toolboxes?

Has anyone opted to put a Aluminum Tool box on their Titan? I'm looking to buy one, but I'm torn between a chest(which sets in the floor of the bed) or an over the rail(self explanatory). I was wondering if anyone has installed one and if so could you post some pics. Preferably of the over the rail type. Originally wanted a chest but got to thinking it will be fun getting crap out of it not standing in the bed. I think that an over the rail would be a little easier considering that you wouldn't have to reach all the way over the bed rails. I don't have the arms of an ape. Anyways, any feedback would be appreciated.

I actually picked up the Husky chest from Home Depot for $175.
I got the chest because I am thinking that at some point I am going to get a tonneau cover for the bed.
Its not too bad, its perfectly wide enough to fit in the bed, and since I am tall (6'4") I dont have a problem getting anything out of it, as long as the stuff is on the sides and not in the middle.
I'll try to get some new pics of it up soon....

re:tool boxes

i got a black anodized crossover from tractor supply for about 230. If you get a crossover you will want to get the low profile due to visabiltity issues. Normal height tool box restricts your vision and you can't see your tailgate=can't tell when your going to back over something especially if you are trying to hook up a trailer. Id post a pic but my camera died. When my new camera gets here ill try to post one. It looks good black toolbox on a white truck

I put a chest type tool box in my Titan. It's black painted aluminum and was $160 at GI Joes (a northwest sports and auto chain). It's just wide enough to almost cover both bottom utili-tracks in the bed. I made some brackets from flat aluminum stock about 1" wide by 3" long and screwed them to the bottom of the box at each corner. Drilled a 3/8" hole in them so they can be bolted into the utili-track with spring nuts in the track. I had to make the brackets because the tool box doesn't quite reach from one track to the other, preventing me from simply drilling holes through the bottom of the box to mount it.
I'll try to get some pics posted soon.

Do you have the Utilitrack system? If you do you might consider the one that fits on it. You can slide the tool box to the rear of your truck near the tailgate to get stuff out of it easily. You can also remove it when you need a little more bed space.

It seems like you sure do have to pay alot for the"slide" feature? I kinda like the Delta low profile box. The price is right!

Nope no UR system on mine. Went ahead and had one custom built for the Tank. Opted for the chest drop-in type. If my wife ever decides to buy a Digital camera I'll post some pics. Going to have it installed this Thursday.

Bayou, or anyone have the sliding tool box..... Is that thing worth the price and has anybody found it for less than $ 500.00? I love the ability to slide the box to the back of the truck and removal should also be helpful but $ 500.00 c'mon!! I need something for my power tools and golf clubs until my top is finished.

I have it but I am only 5' 10", so I am looking for over sized step rails that run back to the wheels on the KC so I can actually get inside the thing without climbing on the wheel.

The only real complaint is I can't see the top of the tailgate with the rearview mirror over the top of the box, so passing is an adventure

I did find a dealer who had a couple in stock (said Nissan sent them) and doubted they would sell, so they split the difference between invoice and retail with me (around $425-$450 I think).
I bought it because of the slide feature and it's easy to get out (if you have a helper )
