Best Way to Carry Bikes

I just wanted to survey the folks on the MB about the best way to carry bikes. I have 2 mountain bikes that I would like to carry, but I don't have the utility bed option with the tracks/movable cleats. I don't want to install a (raised) bed rack because of expense and the permanent mod. I suppose I could just strap them in using the standard tie-downs. I just don't want them bouncing around against each other. Any ideas?

Utilitrack Yakima bicycle mount

This is excellent:

Sorry, my bad. Didn't read the "but I don't have the utility bed option with the tracks/movable cleats".

Thanks. I'll have to give it a bit of thought before I punch holes through the bed of my truck, but it gives me some ideas.

You shouldn't have to punch holes in your bed.
I removed the rubber grommets in my XE bed. Those are the standard holes used for the Utilitrac.

The approximate cost for me was $40.
$20 Yakima block head
$20 For the other materials at Home Depot

I'll have to give it a look - My Titan came with a drop-in bed liner. Are the grommets visible with a dealer drop-in liner?
