I have owned/leased two F-150's and two Expeditions- all were great vehicles, never had any real problems with either. When the lease expires on my SuperCrew I plan on getting a Titan. A Titan Crew Cab LE 4 x 2 to be exact-- in black of course...
But, I plan to do to the Titan what I did to my F-150. Chrome step rails, Borla dual exhaust system, tonneau cover, tinted windows. (I won't do the billet grill- I saw what that looks like on the Titan (Shudders), along with some nice 22" wheels & tires. My truck will look awesome (It does already in my mind's eye). My concern is, I haven't seen any Titan's "dressed up" so to speak.
So, omitting the obvious comebacks: "Why mess with perfection?", "It's perfect as it is", etc.. Why do Japanese truck owners typically not fix the trucks up beyond their stock appearance. Before the Texas Edition Crew cab Tundra came out with 20" wheels, I'd never seen a Tundra with 20's and I have only seen one with Dual exhaust....
You want to take a longer look at this forum. Quite a few members have added mods. Check in the visual modification section. Here's one of my favorites Requests for Pics..Here they are

First of all the truck is only 8 months old. It takes the aftermarket about a year to catch up with a new model. The F-150 has been around for 100 years with no changes to it.
The aftermarket has had so long to create add-on products for Ford that you could probably build a pretty decent looking truck if you used enough of them. You would have to modify quite a bit though to make it look good against the Titan and all the other newer models out there.
At least Dodge made changes to the Durango. Ford seems stuck in the past with it's designs.
So far, I have been doing mods to the outside of my Titan. Stainless Steel step bars, fog lights, bug deflector, and getting ARE LSII lid installed Saturday. I will soon start doing performance mods. Dual exhaust and a new intake setup. After that, who knows? I will most likely get a MrGrille billet grill sometime soon. We "Japanese truck owners" DO mod our trucks. We just don't have a huge selection to choose from yet. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just stating the facts.
Tech12Volt Enclosure, TechTubes Polished SS Step Rails, OEM Fog Lights, OEM Bug Deflector, ARE LSII Hard Tonneau Cover, Black Stubby Antenna, Volant CAI,
JDM 6000K HID Lows & Fogs, SilverStar Halogen High-beams, LED Third Brake Light, Red Billet Aluminum Oil Cap, Red Active Tuning Grounding Kit, Body Colored Front Spoiler,
I wasn't trying to be rude either- I don't have a racist bone in my body.
You and I both know the Titan is as made in America as you can get, but- in the end, it is a Japanese nameplate, is it not? That's all I meant by the word "Japanese".
Everybody's so sensitive....
I like the Titan, and I'm a Ford soon to be Titan owner.
PS- I've owned 3 Nissan's too, and I love Nissan products: the Maxima will always be near & dear to me.
Owned:
1997 Arctic White Maxima SE 5sp.
1997 Black w/Tan leather Pathfinder LE 4 x 2
2001 Altima SE (Black w/Black Leather) *I liked it, but my wife hated it* This is what she got after trading the Pathfinder, drastic change...

I wasn't calling you a racist. That was not what I meant. I apologize if that is how you took it. If Nissan hadn't come out with the Titan, I most likely would have gotten a Ford F-150. I know that you will LOVE the Titan once you get one. I haven't had this much fun driving in...well....I've never had this much fun in a full-size truck, or any other vehicle I have driven.
Before my Titan, I owned a 95 Nissan Kingcab, and before that I had a 82 Datsun/Nissan pickup.

Well when I get my Titan about the only "mod" I will make is a K&N air filter and a hard tonneau cover. I spend all my mod money on the CRX-Si and the S2000.
Seriously, the Titan will be for me just a vehicle to drive on rainy days, to tow the S to the track and my winter daily driver. I will be spending more than I want just to get the Titan but it sure seems like a better thing to do than buy a used F150 or a used Ram.

My thoughts are the same as Quad T.
I purchased the Titan for only one reason and that is to tow my toy. I was considering the Banks exhaust, but for the money it doesn't seem like enough gain and the stock torque is plenty enough for my towing needs. No matter what brand I purchase I never upgrade add mods.
If I didn't own the boat I would probably be driving a Honda Civic as a commuter car and focus my money on other money making investments.
When I had my Frontier (2002 SE CC 4x4) I did alot of mods:
Aftermarket rims and tires.
Custom D&S stainless steel dual exhaust.
Nissan folding/hide-away bed box.
Waag front runner bumper guard.
Billet grill.
Bug guard.
Head light covers/accents.
Extra horn.
K-9 cable, and more I can't remember right now.
I have done a couple of mods to Titan (2004 SE CC 4x4):
A.R.E. LS II color matched hard tonneau.
Dealer installed fog lights.
K-9 cable.
Color matched Lund bug deflector.
I would do more to the Titan but I already have the aftermarket rims and tires from the Frontier still stacked in my garage and I don't need two sets taking up space. And I kinda like the 5 spoke on my Titan. The Frontiers rounded 4 spoke was really ugly. I liked the billet grill on the Frontier, but not on a chrome Titan (JMO). Don't need and exhaust for sound or power, it has a good one for that already (again JMO).
Would like to mount a roof top radio antenna like on some cars. Small black rubber antenna like an Accura MDX or any number of cars have. Saw one on a Frontier and it looked great. Means drilling a hole in the roof though.
I think every post I have ever read from Quad T manages to squeeze in somewhere that he has an S2000 and a Civic Si....We get it
Sorry, what can I say, me love them!
The Titan will be just a support vehicle...

Pretty much same here. I have a 99 Miata Sport set up for SCCA Solo II autocross competition (C stock class), a 911 street/track car (DE car, for you track buffs), and I anticipate building a Spec Miata race car next year. I'm also using the truck for hauling my windsurfing gear.
But more power to you if you enjoy modding your trucks!
In So Cal, if you want to be different, keep it stock, especially trucks and SUVs Mods used to be a guys thing, now I see mothers with kids driving SUVs with 22" wheels and grilles. Sometimes I wonder if it's their idea or it's their husbands'.
