GalaxyCC:

i love it. Well made, first class materials. Not too loud for me but is for some. Some felt that it lost low end, not mine or others experience. I have improved my MPG 1-2 MPG. The muffler is polished stainless and a work of art. Life time guarantee unlike the stock which weighs a lot more than the Banks. The 5" exhaust tip is why it's a MONSTER. Slight drone at 1700-2000 while getting up to speed, at speed it goes away. Starting up it sounds like a Chevy 454.

Check Lizardking, Titan21 and others about why they like it.

You will have made a good choice if you get it, good luck

"Slight drone at 1700-2000 while getting up to speed..."

The drone or resonance is what I dislike. I expect a truly good system to be designed to avaoid this flaw.
Had a 95 SVT Lightning with aftermarket exhaust that the original owner installed. Think he said Flowmaster (2 mufflers).
It resonated from 54-69 MPH forcing me to drive 72MPH in order to keep sane and migrain free on longer drives.
Who makes a muffler that avoids this issue?

I have a slight drone from around 1700-2000 with the Flowmaster 70 when under a load (up hill for example.) When cruising at a fixed speed it sounds perfect and idles quiet in cab. WOT it sounds like a Nascar (only much quieter) thanks to the X-pipe.

Sorry Mike, it was a special limited sale by Jamie at Titanparts 24/7 to TitanTalk members early this year when he first came on board, it's more now, call him and ask.

GalaxyCC,

i have the banks and it's very nice. i paided $450 from jamie earlier this year during the "banks craze" when everyone was snatching them up. (i got hit with the california sales tax though) the kit is very nice and well crafted, everything fit well without a hitch. i love the sound, as 37L1 said it is loud but not too loud. i personally like a loud exhaust, turns the heads. i am one of the ones who feel i lost some low end torque, but that was to be expected so i don't mind. it sounds great and there is a slight drone around 1800 rpms but no big deal, i don't really notice it anymore. i very much recommend the kit, its well crafted and pretty easy to install.

To get rid of the drone you could have a resonator added into the catback. Looks like another muffler, shouldn't change the peak DB output but will cancel out the frequency that causes the drone. It would be nice if it was included in the banks catback but then we would complain about the higher price.
