Which cat back is better for improving performance and mileage, the Banks or Gibson Exhaust?
what performance - quarter mile or towing/highway driving? quarter-mile, go banks. towing, go gibson. again, no real performance comparisons have been made yet.
lotta banks guys claim 1-2 mpg better. some of that improvement could be break in improvement though.

after i put on my banks monster.....noticed 1 to 1.5 mpg better.
of course it varies, depending on my percentage of city/highway driving for
a particular tankful.

About same as TexasTitan As low a 1 mpg to a high of 3 mpg depending on stop and go city vs. all freeway.

I was going to start a separate thread on MPG with the Banks. I have had my Monster for two days but I can reliably tell you that there is no way in H*ll that I'll see better MPG. I can't keep my foot out of it long enough. OMG, this thing rocks. Just the entertainment factor alone is worth the price of admission. I did my first hard run with it through a neighborhood where several of my inlaws live. When I turned around to come back through, I had adults and kids lined up telling me to burn 'em up and let 'er rip. EVERYBODY likes the way the Banks sounds. At about 3500-4000 RPM it is better than sex. Thanks Jaime @ TitanParts24/7. <------ me and my s**t eatin' grin while driving the Titan.

i would like the banks guys to certify that they are beating these numbers with there particular model by at least 1 mpg. the comments made about 1.5 to 3 mpg better with banks need reference points to really compare. need to know what the actual "with banks" gas mileage was and the drive wheels plus rear end gear. I really gotta express some skepticism that a banks 2wd, 2.94 is routinally getting 20.2 to 22.2 and likewise for the other models.
Given the relatively low cfm being pushed by the engine at 70-75 mph and the capacity of the stock exhaust to handle that, I don't see how a greatly freer exhaust is gonna matter at the low cfm rate. It will make a difference in hard acceleration and top end, no doubt.
i am hearing a lot about magnaflow, gibson and banks, but what about the borla system? i know it isn't out to the public yet but has anyone heard any info on it? i had a borla system on my last car and i loved the sound. i really don't care about fuel economy, i just want performance and sound.
