wipers squeaking and skipping

Anyone elses wipers do this? I got a new pair of factory blades and it made no difference. I put on Castrol windshield treatment and it got worse. Now what? I find it very annoying.

Try Rain-X. If you don't like it, Windex will take it off.

Mine run as smooth as I've ever seen wipers run. No skipping or squeeking or any other annoyances. Haven't put anything on the windshield other than plain ol' car wash solution.

Lightbulb

Try rubbing alcohol to treat the blades before installing. It may help but I really do not know. I have a slight squeal and skip with mine but I just let it "slide" you know.

On the subject of the windshield wipers, anyone else have pitifully weak washer heads? I pull the windshield washer column and the damn head nozzles just "spit" out the fluid on the lower part of the windshield. Eventually it gets all around the windshield (barely though), but it is quite weak! Yes, the reservoir is full

I scrapped my original blades when they were only two months old because they were streaking and skipping. Bought a set of premium trico blades at about $10 each. They really work well. Much better than the $4 blades. Using alcohol on the blades does help.

You might try cleaning the nozzles with a needle. I was having problems in the winter when I first got the truck and I drained everything, removed and flushed all the hoses, cleaned the nozzles and then re-filled with Prestone washer fluid. Mine work o.k. now.

Try a set of Bosch "Micro Edge Excels". They are undoubtedly, the best blades that I have managed to get my hands on yet. Just remember, you must buy the entire blade and not just the wiper refill. The refills will not fit your stock blades. I think they are about 10-12 bucks a blade but they are certainly worth it. Not to mention, it will get cheaper on your next go-round because you will not have to buy the blades again...only the refills.

My Frontier and Xterra OEM blades skipped and chattered so I switched to the Bosch blades mentioned above. They were great. I will probably have to do this with the Titan also.

Had that proplem on a new car 3 years ago. Took it to the dealership and they got out a wiper arm angle gauge to check it. Said the arm was slightly "rotated". They adjusted and we thought we were happy. Well, that fix didn't work. I eventually wore tired of the rattling and threw a crescent wrench in console and simply drove in the rain, stop and rotate the flat part of the arm ... again...and again until the correct angle was found. Been good since. A new arm may correct also.

No wiper problem on mine, in town and freeway, over 2500 miles, and lots of rain this spring. Still on the original blades and the wipers are the smoothest I've ever seen, even on a new Lexus.

Yep I noticed this same thing squeeking and streaking. Not in heavy rain just when its kinda light or medium. It can get annoying. To the point where I just flick the things on every little bit so I don't have to listen to it.
