New Owner in Indy

Hello everyone. Been looking at the new Ford F-150 since it came out. Went to a tent sale the dealerships were having at the mall to buy the Ford and saw a white Titan LE sitting there. Before I drove the Ford, I asked to drive the Titan. Made the Ford guys really nervous and uncomfortable.. Anyway, the Nissan specialist came over with a smile and confidentally stated that once I drove the Titan, I wouldn't want the Ford.

Both drives were nice and the Ford was indeed a nice truck. However, I couldn't help but feel the Titan had more to offer as far as a truck was concerned. I kept looking at the Ford shaking my head wondering why simple things were missing from the vehicle like a bedliner, side curtain airbags, more accelleration/power, and a better audio system. The seats in the Ford has no side support and I couldn't help but notice weird vibrations coming from the drivetrain during heavy accelleration. Not good for a new truck. I came from a Dodge pickup and I am furious with the way Dodge has treated me concerning a balljoint defect in the Dakota trucks and I have to be honest, I am a little leary about purchasing a domestic truck again (way to go Dodge, treat your constomers like crap and then you wonder why they stop supporting your products and move on to Japanese autos. Besides, I have a feeling that the Titan has more American in it than the Dodge trucks anyway.)

At any rate, I have a brand-new, white, crew cab LE sitting in my driveway. The only thing I really wanted that I didn't get was what Ford did offer: YELLOW.

Hello everyone.

Ayrow, Congradulations! It's an extraordinary truck. I drove the 150 too. Noted the same thing about the captains chairs - felt like I was about to roll off in a turn. I thought the 150 was ponderous and lethargic. The Titan's a blast to drive - you'll see. I guess you already have. Any questions, this is the place to come. Good luck!

Felt the same exact vibrations in the 150 during my test drive too (after I tried to test a new sport-trac but it wouldn't crank up!- dead battery.) Think/know you made a good decision.

I too was on the Ford tack, but just liked the Nissan better in every regard except interior looks. If I wanted nicer plastic I would have bought the Ford - but it's hard to beat a Nissan drivetrain. This is my 5th Nassan so I speak from experience. You won't regret it.

Welcome to the board as well,

Wife's driving a Ford expedition, still looks great and we like its utility but have basically replaced the frontend on the thing - will only 4 years old in September of this year. Mechanics at the Ford dealership, they also do Titans/Nissan, directed me to the Titan in the first place. When the mechanics at the "Ford" dealership take you out to look at their personal Titan's you definitely should take notice. I'm glad I did!
