Dealership Error

I just recieved some crazy news, the dealership I purchased my truck from "lost" my paperwork, so technically I have been driving my Titan free(about 2 1/2 months) until today, when he informed me of this I was a little upset with the hassle, until I found out that the rebate that Nissan is now offering, will be applied to the price (I bought a week before news of the rebate came out) I also got news that the warranty would have a new start date and mileage, today of course, Not bad news for somebody who just drove to Florida and back, about 4000 miles put on during my two week hiatus. Have any of you ever heard of anything like this before? It is a new one to me. I might as well say goodbye to the F.I. guy there I'll bet his a** is in a sling right about now, hmm maybe I'll just give this one back to him and pick a new one off the lot seeing as I didn't buy it yet.
