Trailer wiring connection on XE

I own a XE 4x4 CC. I was told by the dealer that all I needed to connect my 4-pin trailer wiring harness to the truck was an adapter. I found what I think is the connection point on the truck only I can't find an adapter to reduce it to a 4-pin connection.

Anyone have any experience with this? Calls to two dealers' parts departments have not helped.

I feel like I am just having a case of the dumbass.

Please help

B.

I bought an adaptor at U-Haul for my LE w/ big tow package. Seems like it was around $15.

you can buy a 7pin-4pin adapter at wal-mart....or just do a search on here and you will find the part number for the adapter from nissan

first you must buy the trailer connector that the wiring pigtail plugs into from nissan. then you can get the 7 pin to 4 pin adapter. Also you will need to order a couple of relays from nissan to make that wiring work. I assume you didn't get the tow package when you bought your truck. i know this from experience. i bought an xe and put aftermarket hitch on the truck. i now have as much invested in adapters and relays as i do in the hitch !!! Somewhere in this forum somebody has posted part numbers.
