Banks Exhaust Tailpipe Tip

Just had the Banks exhaust installed on the Titan today. What the h*ll is with the 5" tip ??? I think it looks ridiculous. Does anyone know if this tip can be replaced with a polished 3" tip?

The Banks exhaust pipe that the 5" tip attaches to flares so you would have to cut that and weld on. The pipe itself is 3" diameter before the flare.

Now you know why they call it the "Monster."

I'm surprised you weren't aware of its size as photos have been shown on this forum.

Good Luck on whichever option you choose. Just think of it as two 2.5's!

I wish Banks would take the "CHEEZE" out of their product. It’s just a matter of my personal taste but I can not stand that "big Honda muffler" look. I was just under the impression that Banks was a classy performance company and would avoid that obvious aftermarket look.

My writings are more of a way to vent that to insult anyone who appreciates that look.

Pete, Banks is a classy performance company. ask anyone who has installed the kit, it is very well crafted and fit right in under the truck with ease. no problems at all. your impression was right.

The size of the tip was one of the attractive things about the kit to me.
It screams V8!!!
If you can't deal with it, I'm sure you can trade with someone. Plenty of people would love to have that tip.

If it screams V-8 why do all the ricers use em on their farty 4 bangers? Personalization of vehicles is great and more power to individulism but I don't want to be mistaken for a 16 year old thinkin his car farts sound cool. Titan's too classy for that.

I am trying to figure out the exhaust thing. Can someone post a picture of the banks
where it comes out of the body. I am worried it will cause problems off road due to
the huge tip and would like to see how low it hangs.

Thanks

WOW, that thing is ridiculous. Whats the point? Why not just polish a tip thats the same diameter as the actual pipe?

That exhaust tip would more suit my wifes Honda rather than a nice pickup, not my taste but to each his own.

hey, if you banks haters don't like the exhaust tip, then don't get it. if you like identifying things with ricers than so be it. i, like pciley like it, to each his own.
