Well, my Titan is in the shop...

I was attempting to roll down the front passenger's side window yesterday when it apparently came off the track and fell about 12 inches before stopping. I then tried everything I could think of to get it to roll back up but it wouldn't work.

Made the mistake of rolling it all the way down and it got stuck in that position. Now it's in the shop at the dealership where I originally ordered a Titan but didn't end up buying my truck from them. I figure, however, that the guys in the service shop don't know the story and probably couldn't care less anyway.

Now I'm just waiting to hear from them. I sure hope it doesn't rain.

Okay, the dealer told me last Thursday they had to order a new regulator for the broken window. Regulators are on backorder so this could take some time. Dealer says he ordered it "Customer Care" but that he's seen those orders take up to 2 weeks in the past. TWO WEEKS??!!!??

I took the truck home with me Thursday afternoon and kept in in the garage that night. Friday I took it back up there and they gave me a 2004 Dodge Dakota to drive. The Dakota has less miles than my Titan and it smells like every mile has been driven by someone smoking with the windows rolled up. It's absolutely terrible; just about made my girlfriend sick.

This morning it started raining so I hopped in the Rent-A-POS and drove down to the dealership to find my truck, broken window down, sitting outside in the rain. Boy were they surprised to see me! I told them that I'd really appreciate it if they could put my truck inside since it's raining and the damn window won't roll up. Morons.

Just had to vent a little more. I'm tired of driving the lung cancer truck and want my Titan back!!!

Oh....my....GAWD!!! IDIOTS! Make sure you have them clean the upholstery in case it got wet/dirty. When it rains here, it usually blows tons of dirt around first. Then, the rain soaks it into the seats. I'd personally be sending to visit them.

Your dealer's actions are probably enough cause for this thread to be moved to the "dumb *** of the day award" thread.

I've noticed my driver side front window tends to stick momentarily, before lowering, which gives me an uneasy feeling of a pending regulator failure. Jeeeez, a 2 week wait for a regulator - that sucks.

My rear drivers window would stick halfway and keep moving.. I took it in, they fixed it right up in a couple hours. They said it was just off the track.

I told my salesperson why I was there and mentioned this is a fairly common problem with the Titan.

My Titan did the exact same thing. Its going on 3 weeks now that it has been in the shop. Also had another one come into the dealer with the same problem today. The dealership has told me 3 different dates that the regulater will be released. Seems that there are 120 back ordered and only 100 being released on this Friday. Hope Ill be one of the lucky 100 that gets it this week. But just want to let you know that it could be a month before you get yours fixed.

I was at the dealer today dropping off the truck for a different problem. And a woman was there that just bought her Titan yesterday. And today it's in the shop for a bad window regulator. I'm surprised my has not broke yet.

I still like my Titan; however, I'm really getting p*ssed about all the things which continually break only to find out the part is backordered or the dealer's service dep't is incompetent, to the point Nissan sends over 200 engineers to "fix" what's wrong in Canton. Seems like the regulator has inherent probs, so why does Nissan dribble out these parts 100 at a time? Yes I know they're somewhat at the supplier's mercy, but jeeeez, you'd think they could catch up with demand before the end of the model year or is the supplier's QC the problem rather than Nissan's design? Enquiring minds want to know.
