Off topic but.......

Do any of you know of any experiences with the Nissan X-Trail? Looking at one for my wife and was just wondering what impressions you Nissan guys had of them. They look great, perfect size and the price seems right. Thanks in advance for any comments!

if your talking about an xterra they are nice little vehicles, very tough but just like the frontier a little underpowered. check nissans website the 05's will be bigger and stronger.

I guess the X-Trail is a Canadian model, you learn somthing new everyday! It is a smaller version of the X-Terra, probably about the size of a ford escape. I am starting to lean heavily toward Nissan, never thought I would but I love the styling of the Titan, X-Terra, X-Trail, Altima etc.........I am now thinking I might have been a little hasty junping into a '04 F150, the way you guys talk about the growl of the exhaust and the power makes me a bit envious.

You will not find anybody here with Xtrail experience unless they have been in the UK recently. Canada is now getting the Xtrail and I know of no one who has had one so I can't even pass on any 2nd hand info.

The US will not be getting the Xtrail from everything I have heard so far but you never know. The Xtrail is almost the exact size of the Honda CR-V for those who have never seen one. You can pop on over to the Nissan/UK web site and see all sorts of pics.

Good luck nitroburn. As for myself, I really have a passionate hate for vehicles that put the speedometer in the center of the dash below the rear view mirror, but that's just me...

I would not consider the Xtrail a smaller version of the Xterra.

The Xterra is a strong body on frame durable little SUV based upon the Frontier frame. The 4x4 system is solid, strong and beefy. The Xtrail is much more like a Honda CR-V, unitbody construction and a type of AWD. I looked at a green one just this weekend in Barrie, ON.

I'm not saying the Xtrail is bad, I'm just saying it is more car than truck.
