Question Hanging File Folders

One of the selling points of the big center console in between that captain's chairs was that it could hold hanging file folders. Has anyone done this?

It looks like you have to use larger legal dividers. I'd like to take advantage of this feature for some of my work files, but the 8.5" x 11" files I have are way to small.

Yes, I mentioned that in a earlier post a few months ago. The day after I bought my Titan I went to Office Depot and got a plastic accordion type folio with dividers and tabs. A part of it is even gray in color which matches the interior. This works great! I have one section for restaurant menus. One section for telephone numbers printed out from my Palm. One section for maps. One section for maintenance records. I could go on and on.

My previous truck was cluttered with paperwork; not any more now that I have my Titan. Everything is neat and organized!

hkusp45,

Here are some photos. My folio is letter size. I put a single sheet of legal size paper in the center console to see if it would fit and you have to bend it a little to get in in there. I guess a legal size folio wouldn't fit. I purchased the folio at Office Depot. I can't remember how much I paid for it but I do remember it being kinda expensive. I like it though, because it is durable, waterproof plastic that looks great.

Mike Shaw. Class of 2003, and I too graduated this past May. Engineering = 5 year plan.

2 questions though:

1 - what are you doing in college station now? grad school?

2 - what is a dodge truck owner doing on titantalk? not that i care, just wondering if you are checking out the titan and thinking aobut getting one. it would be the smart thing to do. anyways, i think it's part of vision 2020, increasing diversity and all. the full-sized truck segment has too many americans, we need more asians in the bunch

I definately thought about that the first time someone else one the site said it looked like a cooler.

Something else I thought of...I use the big open bin just in front of the "cooler" as a trash bin, but its kind of hard to clean out. I wish a company would make clear inserts to go in there kind of like the clear plastic you can put in a paint roller tray. That would make it easy to remove and easy to toss when it got a little gross.

Anyone on the site work with that type of plastic?

Now that's an excellent idea! I bet someone will take this idea and make a million bucks. It wouldn't be hard or expensive to do. It could be made from the same clear plastic material that "blister" packs are made up.

A million bucks? I demand 50%! Haha, or maybe just a free lifetime supply of them!

1. TRYING to get into grad school, and work.

2. Cause i get bored. I go to F-150 site too. Im not getting a Titan, im determined to make mine go to 200,000, im over half way there. Really i just like to see other problems on other vehicles, it actually ends up being pretty helpful. Its just another pool of info. Sometimes, a problem i have that is not common to my truck or my fiance's truck (Ford) is addressed in another site such as this, F-150online.com or dodgetrucks.org, where the problem may be more common. It just gives me more info for which to diagnose things. Different brands, but often the same principles. I do all my own stuff, i hate dealers, and unless my truck isnt running, ill just wait it out until i can fix it myself.
