Smile New Member... Comments and Question...

Well, here I am. Long time lurker, first time poster. Seemed a bunch of new folks joined recently so I thought what better time.
First my thoughts.
Bought a Smoke SE CC BT about a month and a half ago. Test drove everything out there- nothing compared. Absolutely love this truck. I actually enjoy getting in it to drive to work! Power and handling are awesome! Family loves the ride. No clicks, clunks, rattles, etc. Gas milage is what I expected 16.5 split city/hwy. Added factory step bars. Love the look with the smoke color, and wife appreciates the easier entry. I have about 1700 miles on it at this point. Plan to buy Truxedo lo-pro for it next, just waiting for funding
Question-
Diff. Fluid: Have those of you that have had the dealer check yours or drain it and refill had to pay them? and what was the cost? I imagine it would be easy enough to do my self, but I think I saw something about the correct torque for the drain plugs and I have no torque wrench.

Finally, I love this board! Information, friendly, helpful people.. Just Great! keep it up and be proud!
Any other things you want to know about my titan, just ask!!

Don't worry about too much about the torque settings. Just put some thread sealant and tighten until snug, the fill plug should end up just about flush while the drain plug should have a few threads left on it. If you used thread sealant, they won't leak a bit. Good luck with the truck, so far 5000 miles and only "problem" is warped rotors. Everything else is awesome!

Welcome doctitan,

I could have had the dealer add some differential fluid but did it myself because I wanted to drain the old and replace it with synthetic. I doubt that the dealer would pay for doing this. It would also been more trouble than it's worth to set up an appointment, get someone to give me a ride from the dealer, etc. just to top it off.
