Dashboard buzzz

Having lived now for 2 months with a consistent, persistent dashboard buzz and I now realize its not going a way I wonder if any others have noticed this. Great sentence structure huh. Anyway it seems to resonate with the motor growl when passing thru the low rpm band and fade..like the radio...at higher rpms. It seems to eminate from behind the speedo cowl or radio but has eluded all my attempts to isolate it. I did a search and just came up with squeeks and clicks and hissing and those do not really describe it. Any others??

Dont have it and it cant be normal I would call the dealer and get them to fix it as soon as possible because it is not ok for it to be making that strange sound it is probably some type of short or inductance problem.

How is that for sentence structure?

Try putting some felt or foam rubber right where i circled, in between the two pieces of plastic. Worked for me.

It sounds like you have the same buzz I have. I live 1.5 miles down a dirt road and the buzz only occurs when I'm driving down this road. I never hear it on the street. I took it to the dealer but of course it wouldn't do it for them on the street. I'll try the felt thing to see if that works.

I'm not sure which......

I'm not sure which buzz/rattle you're referring to. I have several.

Still like the truck tho.

Im not sure if Ive seen this answer anywhere but try this: The two clear plastic front overhead lights can produce a rattle sometimes when driving. That piece is actually a seperate piece of some kind so that you can push on them to turn them on.

Took a road trip to yellowstone and I heard this rattle. I could have sworn it was coming from behind the radio dash area. My wife strarts looking around and sure enough its the push on overhead light!
