Front Window Tint Problems

I got my front windows tinted last week - they looked GREAT. Now they are both developing a lot of tiny tiny scratches - and some larger ones. I took it back to the tint shop (GREAT people, by the way - The Tint Shop in Modesto) - and the owner said he would be glad to re-tint them for me. He also said that he thinks the problem is in the sill wipers. Saturns supposedly have the same problem. Anybody else have their front windows tinted? If so, go look REALLY closely - you may have some little scratches! Let me know if I am the only one.

I've had tint on my windows for several thousand miles with no visible blemishes, except for the small pit my class ring left on the driver window as I was attempting to kill a gnat.

how dark did you go--I am interested since I am in cali also --have you had any cop issues??

Mine are somewhere around 32%. I had never heard of anything in the 30's before I had mine done - all I ever saw was 50% and 20%. It's called Charcoal 32 I think, and it looks REALLY good - I would have to say it's perfect, in my opinion at least. As for cops, I have not been hassled at all - I don't think they will pull me over for the tint, but if I get pulled over for something else, I am sure they will write the tint up as well.

I have dealer-installed tint and have zero problems with mine.
