Where is the best place to get a Truxedo and a few ?s about it.

After doing allot of searching I've decided to get the truxedo. Where is the best place to get one? Did most you guys in here just use self tapping screws instead of the clamps near the tailgate? How is that working out? This is my first Truck, I've always had SUVs, so I was wondering do most of you guys feel its safe to keep stuff in the back while shopping or even overnight with this cover. Sorry for the stupid questions but I still getting used to driving a truck.

Thanks

The Truxedo Lo-Pro is the cover that you need to go with if you have the Utilitrac System. I have not used self tappers yet but I just bought some yesterday. I know that a couple people have done it on here and they say that it is working. The cover can only be opened if the tailgate is down. You can lock the tailgate and then the only way they get in is tearing the cover apart. I have no issues with the safety of the stuff in back. I leave my ball bag and golf clubs in there most of the time.

I am going to go with the AVIC-N1 by Pioneer for the NAV/DVD in the front and I am going to run a remote screen to the back.

That's a nice unit, I was thinking about the Kenwood, but you have to buy the Nav unit separate. With this system can you listen to CDs or the radio while the Navigation is working?

I am almost 100% that you can. I went to HH Gregg just to look at it and am going to go somewhere else to get it. You may have to order a new center console bezel for it. The two gold sponsors on the site titanparts24/7 and courtesy both carry it. It'll clean up the dash. I am going to find a fiberglass guy that will basically recess teh unit when it is not is use and look like a factory blank console when it's all said and done...Hopefully!!!

Here is some info...
I think I may have to look in to this model. Even though its not a flush mount screen

From Cutchfieild

The AVIC-N1 comes with two map DVDs, which cover the U.S. They're programmed with detailed street maps and over 12 million points of interest, such as restaurants, gas stations, hotels, and more. The AVIC-N1's 64MB memory lets you remove the map DVD once you've entered a destination, so you can enjoy CDs and MP3s while you get visual and audio turn-by-turn directions. The system monitors your position using its GPS antenna, internal gyroscope, and the connection you make with your vehicle's speed sensor.

When you're parked, you can use the 6.5" LCD to watch DVDs. If you connect an optional backseat monitor, you'll be able to take advantage of tri-zone capability. You can listen to the radio up front, send DVD signal to the back, and keep the navigation system running!

You can get the unit for around 1450-1500 if you look really hard. To me, it's worth it. It's going in the week of August 9th and my Titan gets a first voyage to Hilton Head form Cincinnati. WHAT A TRUCK!!!

I am going to use the existing for the drop down. From what i understand, a 7" monitor will fit. Possibly up to a 7.4". I debate on the headrest monitors but I think that I am going to go with the drop down.
