Bagged my first Hemi tonight!

Well, tonight was the night I bagged my first Hemi. Standard stop light deal - 1800 RPM power-brake launch. I straight up walked away from him: 2-3 truck lengths in about a quarter mile. He had a Quad Cab, but other than that we were equal - 2WD, even the same color. He gave me the thumbs-up at the next light - classy guy! I know you all have done the same, but I was proud of my Titan! She showed her stuff!

Dallas: I don't actually have my spacers installed yet, I am having some shipping issues with them - they were supposed to be here last week.

I don't think I am anywhere near Fontana, I am in Central California - basically East of San Francisco.

That IS classy. I think i would have been pi$$ed off if i just dumped that kind of money on a HEMI and it let me down. Probly would have shot you the finger.

Actually, he should have just gotten on it long enough to get ahead of you, and watched for you to start gaining, then completely let the throttle out and just coast. Thats what i usually do. Mostly because i don't want to get beat in public, and i don't want to wind it up to 5,000 rpm for no good reason. The other thing is that alot of folks figure if i get in front that fast, then im gonna beat them anyway......however, that is not true. At least he could have saved a little face. Oh well, live and learn, right?

I ain't gonna lie, i tried to get in front of a toy one day at the light, i got in front quick, but he caught up quicker. So, if the Titan is faster than the Tundra, i'll just leave you folks be.

I really can't recall the exact tint but the factory tint was at 70% I believe. I think I added another 60? to the window and it came out to be like that. I can dig up the receipt if it seems wrong to anyone.

California is < 70% Tint

Mine around 40?

I used 3M tint material, lifetime warranty on peeling, color, and free removal if i get caught. Price was around 50-60 i think

You can't have any window tint on the front windows in California.
Straight from the DMV website.

Can I put after-market tinting on the windows of my vehicle?

The main requirements for legal window tinting in California are:

1. The windshield and front driver's side and passenger's side windows cannot receive any aftermarket tinting.
2. If the rear window of a vehicle is tinted, the vehicle must have outside rearview mirrors on both sides.

The law prohibits any person from driving any motor vehicle with any object or material placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied upon the windshield or side or rear windows, with certain limited exceptions.

However, legislation signed into law effective January 1, 1999, exempts from the above prohibition specified clear, colorless, and transparent material that is installed, affixed, or applied to the front driver and passenger side windows for the specific purpose of reducing ultraviolet rays. If, as, or when this material becomes torn, bubbled or otherwise worn, it must be removed or replaced.

it was to improve radio reception. Some have had good luck with it and some not. It appears to be a hit or miss type of adjustment.
