OLDER Hondas were phenomenal cars, that's why I bought one, the 7gen is WAY short, like I said, go to
www.v6performance.net
Here is a rundown:
To date, and leaving out some stuff:
1. Warped rotors at 4K miles, replaced, warped @ 8K replaced again
2. Sunglasses holder stuck, replaced last summer after 2 times of dealer ordering wrong part, sticking again replaced again
3. Fabric on passenger visor coming off - replaced, happened again, replaced again.
4. Car would "fart" - replaced cat. convert.
5. Car would have hard starts - replaced fuel press regulator
6. Wrinkled window moldings - replaced, wrinkled again, even worse on top of windows
7. Body panels didnt line up - fixed
8. Factory defect on the spoiler paint - painted, repainted to fix first bad paint job
9. Factory defect on trunk paint - painted, repainted to fix first bad paint job
10. Paint in general is coming apart, my hood looks like Homer Simpson made "speed holes" in it. I know I live in a place where the roads are crappy and such but even on the sides, it's looking bad.
11. Recall on the fuses
12. The panels around the shifter were coming up- replaced
13. Cig Lighter was too hard to pull stuff out of- replaced
14. The endless rattles from the headliner which Honda has called "weather related" even though it is still happening in the 80ºF weather.
14. Tranny recall.
15. More mystery rattles
16. Drive seat would slide forward 1 inch on accel and decel, replaced rails, now it moves side to side.
NONE of these problems are unique to my car, many other 7gen owners have had them too (granted, most not all at once) and almost ALL owners had the Hard starts (fuel pressure regulator), warped rotors, sulfur smell (cat convert), the recall on the fuses and the recall on the tranny. These are MAJOR issues, not minor interior trim issues. Within the first 5 months I needed fuel pressure regulator, catalytic conv, and tranny redone.
