So how'd it go? Any luck? I'm thinking about switching out my XE rear view for the auto-dimming one.

Don't think the one from the Maxima is going to work. Below is the diagram for the Titan.

acr38, it worked, the mirror was installed about 6 months ago, and I love it, although I chickened out in the wiring installation and took it to a stereo shop, $65 later they installed it....

I messed up my windshield in the process but I am over that.. what ever you do when taking the old mirror out, please be very careful and don't do like I did, I pulled the mirror just to check if it would give and I ended up with the mirror in my hand and a chunk of glass from the windshield, very sad, but that is just ok, I glued the metal piece to the glass and attached the new mirror in place, I love my homelink very happy, total cost was $120 mirror plus $65 installation I mena wiring.
Good luck.

Sweet! The auto dimming is nice, huh? Do the garage door buttons work? I am sick of having my opener clipped to the visor. It makes the thing bounce up and down. I would love to have the opener buttons on the mirror like that.

Also, where did you get the Maxima mirror? I would like to get one with compass and maybe a thermometer as well. Then I'll be set.

Garage door buttons, worked perfect, longer range than my clicker, and never need batteries, plus I have 3 buttons to choose from

Maxiam Mirror, Ebay.... I was lazy, I could have gone to the junk yard (not really) but I was just sick and tired of the old clicker and openning the garage door was a pain in a daily basis... so I rushed and got it on ebay.
Good luck.
Very easy installation... I could care less for the dimming function, even though it does work, the other 2 outside mirrors manage to shine all the light in my face anyway soo... only from some cars that are tall.
