Titan vs. Sierra : Round 1

Ok so I see alot of "hate" we'll say towards american truck manufacturers....
I'm kind of confused....Seems the biggest problem is people think they're overpriced....that may be....
But with any vehicle purchase you must remember the sticker is ONLY the sticker.
I spent 3 weeks working with a Nissan dealer finding a EC 4X4 LE Titan loaded with everything.....to find myself waiting and waiting.....price tag = $34000 approx. after taxes.....good deal I thought.
So after not being able to get what I wanted....I figured I'd go visit Edmunds.com to see what else would have a comprable price tag.....low and behold....
I found myself looking and dealing on an 04 GMC Sierra Denali......
After some haggling I spent lil under $2000 more for the Denali than for the Titan....now can you compare these 2 trucks? I say HARDLY!
To each there own and both have features the other doesnt.
Honestly I'm totally relieved I got the Sierra instead of the Titan.
I love my truck and thats all that really counts.

P.S. quadrasteer wtfpwns

Nope didn't read that but thanks for the concern.......
Every manufacturer has its issues....as well as Nissan...
I think I read a post here that stated....If you havent checked your front diff. fluid yet, you may want to see if theres any oil in it.
So have you checked yours? or you buy 2X4?
Please dont start this into a flame fest....

So instead of flaming, I am curious to know, what features interested you more about the Sierra, what made you go with it?

I just don't see where the Sierra even really holds a candle to the Titan except the quadrasteer.

Sounds like you got a nice truck. Dont you think it would be more relevant to post on fullsizechevy or something? Did you also post this on any Tundra/Dodge/Ford forums?!?

Welp for starters I got AWD and quadrasteer....
Leather seats are a lil nicer.....bed cover.....
10,000lbs tow rated.....325 hp 370 fp
Bose stereo....
I think overall the GMC was a nicer detail/comfort truck
Again nothing against the titan......

Isnt the Sierra Denali the same as a Silverado with a 6.0L? Quite frankly the new Chevy/GMC crewcabs were introduced this year in the 1500 series without a stir. No awards or anything...I'll bet your gas mileage is pretty good too, huh.

Good for you, but why come on a Nissan Titan forum to tell us about it? Obviously you've already made your decision, you don't have questions that need answered, you don't own a Titan, so go over to the GMC forums and introduce yourself. Impertinent post like this do little more than take up space on this server that could be better put to use helping prospective buyers and current owners.

I dont have anything against any brand of truck. I was open to all of them, but the Titan won me over in the end, just like the Denali did for you.

More like "pleather," I've seen what GMC considers leather. And the Bose is just as good/bad as any other stock stereo...mediocre at best. I guess AWD is a plus if you need it. I would rather be able to turn mine on/off when needed.

Hey, nothing against the Denali...I am sure it is a nice truck. Quadrasteer sounds pretty neat. Too bad they dont make it in a Crewcab.
