I would pay the $20 for the nissan 1 day viewing subscription, and download the entire service manual. It's been a great help so far for me!

--But I'll take a look and see if I can summarize the procedure

Hey, harass your dealer!

I don't have a clue, but you just spent good coin with some dealer, now make them earn it! I'm almost afraid to ask why you want to remove it........you break the slider??

I want to make an Armada out of my KC

Thanks guys.JAOHN,it would be great to know if the window can be removed without breaking it.I have heard some windows are epoxied in place, rather than sealed in with some sort of silicone caulk. The epoxy makes it impossible to remove, and reuse.
Coachboone, you were right to smell a lame misadventure,I sorta intentionally didn't say why because it is just a bit lame, and I figured I wouldn't get much help. Here it is
I bought a KC XE 2WD even though I would have preferred a CC because the $$ were tight.I want to use it as a 2 or 3 adult travel vehicle. There are 2 maybe 3 "problems"
1)We drive straight thru-New Orleans -Flagstaff,AZ 1500 miles maybe 2 times a year.It take 25-28 hrs.We stop just to get gas, stretch legs, bathroom, and walk dogs(2 big, long legged greyhounds). One drives, one sleeps,so we have to be able to stretch out and sleep. So there has to be sleeping room, and the sleeping room has to have a wide connection the the cab to let AC in.
2)We have 2 dogs that travel with us-great travelers really. My wife insists that she wants to be able to sorta have them in the same compartment to "commune" with them.Yeah,it seems a little much, but we are very fond of them.
So I figure to put a cap on the bed, take the window out, insulate the bed against heat, noise, exhaust etc.We took a trip with the Tundra we had,but the little window really restricted thre AC.A human wouldn't actually be in the back much(kinda dangerous),but they would be there some.Poor man's Armada. Thanks,Charlie

I did take a look at the service manual shortly after I had mentioned to you that I would, and I saw quite a few pix that might help you, then a reference to another section about how to remove it. Just after that, I had a vet appt. for 1 of 3 of my dogs, my g/f got home, we did some things, went to dinner, etc.

After finally looking at the manual, I think that the images and instructions for this might be invaluable to you in making your decision to remove the window. I highly recommend that you buy the 1-day subscription and download the manual. I wouldn't want to "not" provide you any critical information that you might need to make your decision to remove the window or not.

Thanks,will do

JAOHN,sounds like a great idea.I think I will attempt to max my 1 day sub,and decide before hand which things I will seek out.
Hope you dog is ok-they are great pets-really get attached to them.I just got home about 30 minutes ago,and Phoebe-goofy greyhound- has been pestering me to feed her and Isis.I also have to feed the 3 cats, since thay have been giving me dirty looks(chow time was delayed tonight).
Thanks for the tips,Charlie
