Talking My Titan @ Oceano Dunes/Pismo Beach

Took the girl and my Titan out to Pismo w/ some friends for a weekend of sand, ATV's and BBQ. A great time! My truck did good in the sand, despite being stock and 2WD. I did get stuck a little in some deep, soft sand but no big deal. The Titan did me proud, and I only saw 1 other Titan out there, a white XE KC.

Had a lot of fun, can't wait to go out again!

Anyone know how to post an .avi short video? I have one of my Titan going through the sand.

Is that a WR450? I had a 2001 WR426.
Now I have a KTM 525sx for supermoto and a little trail riding.

Thats right up the road from my place, 20 min. I still have yet to go out there though. How was it? Did the titan get you out of the time you were stuck? I hope to make it out there soon

It was very crowded, we got there just in time and secured a nice camp spot. About an hour later there were people coming in left and right searching for a place to set up, most were limited to their vehicle capability. Even the 4x4's were getting stuck! It was pure madness, almost like Mad Max. I loved it though, and it was our first time there. My girlfriend never rode a quad or any motorcycle, and she did awesome for her first time out! By the end of the day she was going down all the steep bowls and even trying to get some air!

I was able to back out of the deep sand, although I had to dig out some of it since I buried my splash guards! I've never driven in sand before, and it wasn't the Titan's fault, but my inexperience. I spun the rears until I buried the truck to the axle. It was able to get back out under its own power though.

KTMKEV, that is a WR450 but unfortunately not mine. I will have one soon enough though, once I catch up with truck payments and school loans! I'm a bit stumped on whether I want a dirt bike or ATV. Hmm... BTW that is a sweet KTM you got!! I'm envious!

I can reduce the size of the .avi with windows movie maker, of course the video is on my computer at work and not at home...D'oh! I'll do it tomorrow.

Talking got the video going

Here's a video of my Titan in the sand. You'll need Winzip to extract it.
