This morning I wanted to see how my truck would compare to my Armada on a take off. So I took the VDC off and I nailed it well I don't know about you guys but it went like a bullet and for about 60ft I left two lines of rubber on the street. So the question is do I have the WOT restriction or not? Because if my truck did that with the WOT restriction on then if I take it off it will scare my pants off
It should only have it in 2wd, in 4wd hi it should kick in about 10-15 mph.
I think he was saying he has a 4x4 2007 and can't go wot till 30-35 in 2wd
I've got a 4x4 2005 and my butt tells me I don't get WOT till the same, 35 mph. I've already gone down the path of people telling me I'm wrong and correcting me etc. I've got Uprev but haven't installed but will soon, ill run logs and post them up for someone to check it out. I think its totally possible considering some trucks ship 2* advanced or retarded already, or some get better results from BDGT vs Cortex. I'm sure you know from working at a dealer these trucks are kind of finicky and while there's similarities amongst them all, there's bound to be performance differences.

I am certainly not arguing that there aren't anomalties, but I have never seen a 4x4 model with the delay in 4x4 mode. 2wd yes, the throttle delay is there and very active. You may be very correct on your 2005, the easiest way to tell is to hookup Uprev Cipher and log throttle position on a WOT romp. My 2012 2wd very much starts around 1/4 throttle, briefly goes WOT at 35 mph, then holds the throttle at 1/2 throttle again in 2nd gear up to 60 mph, before finally reaching WOT.

You are correct with it being in 2wd and 35. And to tell you the truth I couldn't give you an opinion in 4wd. Although I will now have to find out.

Its not delayed in 4x4 mode neither of us said that. We have 4x4 trucks, but in regular day to day driving in 2 wheel drive we don't hit WOT till above 35 much like the non 4x4 guys. Awhile ago when I was loosely researching why i was different I came across several posts from other users claiming the same thing. When I was in the market for a new used truck I test drove several trucks, 2 of them being titans. 1 was on 06 flexfuel 4x4 KC with less than 50k miles. The other (the one I bought) 05 4x4 kc. I ended up picking the 05 because it felt a lot more powerful and had the center console dealie.
I can't remember at what mph the other went WOT probably because I didn't know what WOT was at the time, but could it be possible that the powerband is set a little different in the one I bought? Seriously the difference in power between basically the same two trucks was the only deciding factor.
Ill try and make some time this week to run some logs, I've been wanting to know the final answer but hasn't crossed my mind since Mr. Bullydog took over. Ill hit you up and send your way if you don't mind taking a gander at them. I don't have experience with Uprev or tuning software in general so not sure what to look for.
It's not 35 mph unless your larger than stock tires are throwing off the speedometer reading. The WOT restriction is set to about 15mph for 4x4's and 40mph for 2wd's. I have a '05 2wd as listed in my sig and I didn't get WOT until around 40mph when I felt the second surge kick in. With the BDPP, I get WOT at around 5mph because we still have some amount torque management present, from a dig, even with a programmer with the WOT enabled.

I'm on stock size tires, and the surge you say you feel at 40mph......that's what I feel in my 05 4x4 at roughly same speed, not the 15 mph that other 4x4s feel.
