Yet another RF thread!

I noticed that if I have both balance and fader set at null (center), the sub gets a lot more level than if I shift the balance and fader around. This doesn't make sense to me, not that I thought it should with this POC system but I wonder if anyone else has noticed how much more level the sub gets. I'm thinking I can avoid some of the popping sub sounds this way b/c I usually favor more rear fader than front. Its driving me crazy as I cannot go over 12-14 in volume on certain CD's

My factory sub is fine up to about 20-23 for most CD's, bass at about +-2. 12-14 seems low to start distorting?

Well I found out something as the sub was really making a popping noise, so I hopped out and looked under the seat and there on top of sub was a plastic wrapper from a detailing tag rag???? What an idiot.... as I was about to go to my dealer and have a meltdown about the whole system. Actually the radio works as well now as any I have had in the past. The FM is on par even in this signal trap area I live in, so sign me happy for now. BTW if you want a real workout for your system try the Rock Steady No Doubt CD...its a butt tickler!!!
