I agree with alot of that, the tall bed sides, low ground clearance ect. But you also have to remember that most of the new trucks are that way. Thats why i will Never buy a new truck, because they are just not made like trucks. (although i think the titan is good.) They need to make them how they used to be (8 ft. bed, high ground clearance, MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS, ect, ect.)

Many of those thoughts were mine when I 1st saw the Ford and sat in one. The high bed sides, the high front window ledges were the two most glaring problems I saw. Many of his other complaints I felt when I was in one. The seats were very uncomfortable. I looked and sat in a lower model line, so I can't vouch for the FX-4 and higher but I think this guy is right on and it is why i now own the Titan.

Funny thing was, he was actually impressed by the powertrain whereas most everyone seems to dog it pretty hard.

So what is Ford's response to my long list of complaints ? Silence. My dealer has passed my complaints up for the Ford rep to contact me, but they never have. A call to the Customer Satisfaction phone number listed in the operators manual was met with the most indifferent attitude I have ever come across.
What does this guy expect? He's complaining about subjective things or poor design that was present the day he bought it. From his rambling I can't see that anything has gone wrong with the truck. So it doesn't have much interior room... You test drove it didn't you?? It's got a low ground clearance.. well that hasn't changed since the day you bought it. It's hard to get into the bed.. any one can see that without having to drive it 3,000 miles to figure it out. This guy is just complaining for no other reason than buyers remorse. If I was ford I'd tell him tough $h!t, nothing is wrong with your pickup.

You cant tell me this guy wants ford to do something about a perfect running truck. He was worried about room and didnt look behind the seats or in the bed during test drive? Give me a break. You think you dont have good ground clearance in that f150 by all means please go back to your dodges. The front ends on those are so low he wont have to attach a plow to clear driveways. Next time dont buy a truck when you are wearing a blindfold.

Lame novice review. Why do so many people keep finding ways on BASHING Ford on these threads, please give it up already! Yes, if you pit a Titan aganst the new Ford 150 the Titan wins hands down in almost every category, towing, power, price features etc. But please, stop bashing Ford, they are also good trucks and I have an '04 myself. It seems many of you have to justify your purchase one way or another.

Arrrggg! I second that. At one point I had a '73 3/4 ton corn binder(International for the young pups) with a 345 V8 4bbl, 4 gear with a granny that would pull the devil out of hell with the doors closed Dual tanks 16.5" rims and a custom soup can muffler setup

Ahh the good old days........or were they?

I agree VW.

I love my Titan and am happy with my choice. The Ford is a great truck (my family has worked for Ford since 1918), but the Titan fit our lifestyle and needs better. Of course, being disowned by my family was a bummer....

enough already!

there was another ford bashing thread that was like 15 pages long, rediculous. what other people are buying, driving, or saying about the titan should not mean a damn thing to any of us. just because some farmer is mad that he didnt make an informed decision in buying his truck, doesnt mean we need to post something on our board to make us feel better about the titan. i feel great about my purchase, as i know most everyone here does. i dont need to post, or for anyone else to post things like this for me to feel better. its just a pissing contest with poor sportsmanship. we are better than that. also, everyone here has spent 20 to 45k on their truck, just like all the ford, dodge, and chevy guys, let them decide if they made the right choice, the money is spent, dont make them feel they made a mistake, cuz time will tell, all of us could have as well and it might come back to bite you in the ***.

Well it was a pretty weak "bash" if you ask me. Some screwy farmer has a few pointless complaints and somehow wants Ford to do something about it. At least save the bashing for legitimate problems.

How is pointing out some other truck's shortcomings providing proof that the Titan is a great truck? Compared to the Yugo, the Pinto is a nice car, that's poor reasoning. Something can be great in and of itself, comparisions aren't necissary, especially when you're preaching to the choir. If all the truck makers made equally good trucks, that doesn't mean each individual vehicle can't be "great" and the same goes if they were all poor.
