Oil heater

I live in an area that has fairly cold winters. Since my truck will be parked outside, I started thinking about installing an oil heater this winter for the cold morning starts. I've discovered 3 kinds; dipstick type, oil pan pad w/adhesive and magnetic oil pan heater. Any advice on the which one might be best?

You live in WV and your worried about cold winters??? I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. I had my truck in Maine this past winter for several REALLY cold months and it started fine even at 20 below. I know it didn't cause any additional wear on the engine because I did an oil sample after I got back to Georgia. I would say don't worry about it...

Instead of a oil heater, why not just use synthetic oil. It is still quite liquid even atminus 60 degrees. many people didn't
realize that synthetic oil was invented by the germans during WW2 to run in their tanks, since we bombed their oilfields
