My truck is in the shop for like 2 weeks -_-

My truck is in the shop for like 2 weeks because they gotta order some parts for my truck. They finally found out the service engine problem though that keeps turning on after 10 miles of driving it.They said there was something wrong with the catalytic converter or something called that and they said it could shutdown the engine. Is this a big problems that I will have in the future or anyone else had this problem?Damn i really wanted to drive my truck because im a senior and my first day starts tommorow. Now im driving a Colorado rental and i hate it haha.

hmm.. hopefully they properly diagnosed it. As seen before, just because the secondary O2 sensor is reading a bad catalyst, doesn't necessarily mean the cat is bad. Could be fuel additives giving off a funny exhaust gas to the sensor, as suggested by somebody in another thread. Also, could just be a bad O2 sensor, or the sensor is loose in the bung of the pipe, etc.

I feel your pain, I'm assuming mine will be there around that long as well. They're waiting on some parts they ordered and for the Nissan rep to come take a look at the spot on the back of the cab that was completly missed when it was painted at the factory. I'm really hoping the decide to repaint the whole truck buecause according to what I was told on how the trucks are painted on bad spot could mean the whole paint job has issues.
